thanks, steve smile:)

i like this one too. and now that i'm working with Radiant, i'll probably make a texture in there out of this and have a look at it.

i just had to try this one out. i loaded a tiny room in gtkradiant for Wolfenstein ET (enemy territory) and figured out how to load in my texture for use. i then loaded the map into the game engine and ran it and got this:

pretty freaking cool!

here's a few more. i added another room and used all FF textures. i used pog's floor filter for one room, my carpet filter for another, someone's plaster filter for the ceilings and that might also be pog's wood filter for the wall paneling in one room and a cracked paint filter for the other room walls smile:)

quite fun smile:)

bear in mind that i'm still learning gtkradiant, so, these are somewhat scaled wrong in places and the interior here is pretty bare yet.

i also used a brick, outdoor wall texture on the outside of these rooms, but when in the game engine i havent made any way to get there yet. so, cant show that one yet.

so, perhaps folks can see these and get some ideas of how textures are used in 3d. i know i've already seen some things that i'll be changing in my texture filters, like, it is KEY that you actually turn on seamless tiling during filter making if you expect your textures to be used like the above shots. the game industry is HUGE! and i distinctly remember that ID software was given beta copies of FF a while back. in fact, vlad dropped quite a few big names that got copies. so, keep that in mind when creating filters. they want good textures! so, if you want high usage, give them great textures.
