something a little odd about the top of the hex... is it beveled or not? at least on the default it's a bit hard to tell. also, the lighting on the inside bottom beveled portions is inconsistent. sometimes the right is lighter, sometimes the left. frankly, i dont know how you got it as well as you did smile:)

and #5 could almost pass for link chainmail smile:)

still, it's a good filter. i could see using this for trellis, grates and that sort of thing.

The Rust actually effects the texture of the metal, so where there is rust it is rougher. I don't know if this is what you were talking about, Infact I am just makinga random guess smile:?: What are you talking about smile:)

well, the 'hex' part is the part that is in transparency. at the top of the hex, on the frame part, it's difficult to tell if there is a bevel to that edge. below every hex you can see the bevel on the frame. and looking at it today, it looks like there is a bevel on the top. my gamma may have been off yesterday.

Great! Can not wait to see what it is.

Truth be told, I too got another idea from this filter; wierd seeing as it is my filter. Just finished it today. I am going to walk away from it for a while and revisit it before posting it; but as of today it is pretty neat.

Highjack away. If I do not get HU it is not going to be because you used my filter for ideas, or used components of my filter: ultimatley it is going to be because my filter was not worthy of HU.

The only thing that would bug me is if a newbie took my filter and butchered it and posted a bad filter in hopes of getting HU. Nothing bugs me more than pandoring to the HU rank smile:evil: , it just results in stupid duplication of useless filters that are ultimatley designed for failure in ranking.
*Redcap steps off of his soap box *

Kraellin, you have no inscentive to pander, and you only produce quality filters anyway: so share away, what's mine is yours, no holds bar, or whatever smile:D

thanks, redcap smile:)

actually, it was the cut out portion of your filter that inspired my idea. i just went, 'hmmm, what would happen if you had one filter cut out portions of another filter' and that was it. i love playing with the alpha channel.

Obviously you can change the color to brown if you want, but I will do some research on the good ol' world wide whatever and find meself some good flaky rust I can model. Thanks.
