Well earlier on in another post someone alluded to the case that I may have a serious problem with the life saver after looking at it so much, because the wringer I put it through all the time wiht my filters

who knows maybe they are right smile:dgrin:

I tried it with my fold and tatter filter and it works really well because my tatter only works on the folds.
I also added grunge, set it on fire, and put it under water but that was too much. The life saver gets a lot of abuse. smile:D

lol

I don't like restoration jobs. It just seems like so much work for so little reward.

Hey Kraellin - I tried to say hi to you at retouch pro but they would not let me join because I don't use POP email. smile:( smile:evil:

you're not charging enough then smile:)

yeah, hotmail and those type email addys arent allowed, i think. we even recently had trouble with getting AOL users in. something about all the new anti-spam stuff AOL is using. and hotmail types are somewhat notorious for spamming and anti-tracking. a number of forums block those.

just register with a normal isp email and it shld be fine. if you've got an isp, you've most likely got a pop3 email addy.

I’ll wait until they get it worked out on their end – blocking gmail users is shortsighted. The tutorials are accessible which is mostly what I wanted anyway. Looks like a nice place though.

well, if i can remember to do it, i'll ask doug (the head guy) about gmail. but, i'm pretty sure it falls into the same category as hotmail. it may be more technical than just blocking spam type email accounts. i know the aol thing was unintentional and had to be sorted out so that aol users could register. but, that's a different sort of issue. hotmail, yahoo mail and those sorts are an entirely different class of email and it may be being blocked on purpose. i always assumed it was because of the spam/junk email issue, but that's just my assumption. i'll ask doug about it.

All freemail domains have been banned due to their previous use to attack
our site. Perhaps you could use your work address, or have a friend join for
you. Then you can turn off all email functions via the User Control Panel
(User CP). You'll lose some features, but you'll have everything you need to
participate.

Don't bother. Apparently they do not consider it a problem. I doubt that gmail is going anywhere though.

Thanks though smile:D
