Wow! You are getting good at this Filter Forging thing really fast! I think that this filter is very technically difficult to pull off; good job. The reason I say it is hard for many to pull off real looking spheres, good job.

Presets number 3 and 8 are my favorites!!! I would have liked more presets ... however found that it makes beautiful varients and I'll have great fun making presets for projects. (((I love beads... pearls... ect))). And I'll bet these would glass right up with an application of Stevie J' if the project called for glass beads.

((Thanks so much Foxxee for making this filter))!! smile:D

I'm not sure what you mean, Kraellin, when you say it reminds you of the hdri filter environment. Is that a 'good' thing or a 'bad' thing smile:?:

Thanks so much, Persidio smile:)
I am partial to these sort of filters, especially when I first got PSP 3 way back when I was first learning to translate my artwork to digital media instead of paint and canvas smile:-p
What I had in mind here was to give others who use such programs something to 'Tube' for use in their own work. Hope it will be useful this way too smile:D

foxxee,

it's not really a good or a bad. the hdri lighting environments are those spheres you see under the 'Lighting' tab when you have a 'surface' type filter open. you can make your own and these spheres in your filter looked like they might work for such.

I have only used PSP since 2000. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the three of us have been in the same groups or lists. Maybe even have tags and tubes from each other. smile:D

I like how you did pearl and metallic; both are beautiful to work with.

Thanks Ahimsa smile;)

When you first told me you made tags I did pause to wonder the very same thing.
I started out actually sharing things, though, in the AnnexCafe Graphics Component group. We shared only copyright free things (as best as most knew if they didn't make them their selves) images and objects we created. It was great fun but I've since gone back for quite some time now... busy with RL you know smile:-p

Some of my pictures got abused in the Yahoo groups and I was told that once I put my art up at my gallery that it was no longer mine and it was ok that one of the members had taken one of my pics, erased my name, renamed it, and passed it around as her own work. Plus tubes got made from mine, which would have been ok if it hadn't been for that attitude. The ladies at the AnnexCafe however asked my permission first and were polite to me.

I removed almost all of my artwork from my gallery.

I have the unfortunate luck of having the same name as several other tubers and taggers and they have managed to get a lot of anger that is meant for them directed at me. I had to keep explaining to people that there was more than one Manon tagging and tubing. Glad to be out of that crazy world.

I used public domain or my own stuff.

Hehe, tushe smile;)

Tubes are a tool in PantShop Pro and tags are sort of like calling cards but digital... I'll let one of the other ladies explain it to you though smile:D

Tubes are like stamps that you can add to your "canvas" with just one click. Most are made from graphics or photos, but some are mouse made. Say you have a picture of cute animals and you only want to use the one animal. You would delete all the pixels around it and then you have the animal with a transparent background. Like a number of my filters do.

Tags are little pictures made from scrapbooking elements and papers, tubes, accents, and then a person's name is put on it. Let me see if I have one.

And thanks for your comment!
But mine doesn't have the same optical affect on images if I were to make them translusent, why your filter is so much more than just something shiney smile:D

yup, i did a write-up of how and posted it here in the forums...somewhere smile:)

and 'tubes' are a psp thing. they are pre-made, fixed graphic images. not sure where the name came from. you can make your own or download them from others or from the psp libraries. they can be done as a single image or as groups of images. and like ahimsa said, you simply click on the 'tubes' brush and a list of your tubes comes up. you pick which one you want to work with from the browser and one left click on your image posts that tube to your image. if you picked a tube that has more than one image, you can just left click and have a ramdom image from that tube come up or set up a sequence or whatever. they are quite handy for scrapbooking, making greeting cards and other fixed, known images.

here's an example of a plain white image with tubes put on it. these tubes are from different groups, like one from 'dogs' and 'nuts and bolts' and 'zoo animals', 'fire' and so on.

Tubes come from their file extension name of ".tub"~

Actually when Foxxee posted she had been making graphics since 1996, that's the first thing I thought. This post is not long enough for my graphics experience on the web. Long story short... started with Photoshop in 1998,,, switched to PSP... (and kept using it along with PI and Adobe Photoshop) taught PSP and PI and HTML and started the first graphics forum on Delphi. (large forum) One of my members left and started the first sig shop on Delphi. From there I started another forum which I believe was their first 'skins' forum. ((loved to make backgrounds)) I then learned CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and made forum skins for Delphi members. They could come pick out a skin for their forum and my forum was a large catelog. Still have some old and dear friends over there. Had to take a break for real life issues concerning my husband... so I left. Somewhere along the way I switched to PI (PhotoImpact) and have been following that program since version 4. So I use only PI now (which uses stamps... file extension .ufo's otherwise known as objects)... occasionally I jump on Photoshop CS. And that's 10 years of graphics skimmed down to a short post, LOL. Just fill in the blanks with tubes and graphics places on the web and that's my story. ((tons of web pages most all taken down when I took a break... love to hand code HTML and CSS)). Forgot---> been a filter addict since 1998... thought that was obvious though, LOL.

Hey now that's a blast from the past. Victorian calling cards! My first web site was backgrounds... when I wasn't making backgrounds I was making calling cards. Then helping others learn HTML.

It's an honor to meet you two!!! Lynn is also an old graphics gal so we are going to have much fun! haha

I tagged at Delphi for a short time, but Delphi was such a pain to navigate for me.
