Another very useful filter, Ron smile;)
I wonder if I should even submit mine now as I think it looks very similar to yours, but I call it pastels and not chalk smile:-p

Foxxee, of course you should release it. There is plenty of room at FF for variances in style. I look forward to seeing it! smile:D

Thanks, that's kind of you... but I was looking it over and it looks suddenly 'rough' to me. It's odd, when I'm making my filters I get all excited and can't wait to share them, then when I see them again I think "Sheeze, what was I thinking ! smile:?: !
Let me work with it some more, I'd like to share it but now it doesn't look as good next to yours smile;)

I've called it for what I actually use, that's Pastel Pencils. They are pastel chalks but in an easy clean form that I find much less likely for me to smudge and mix colors otherwise using the bare sticks. I'm not a neat freak, but I can't stand the dust those things put out when coloring with them smile:-p

Me too. But there is something cathartic about making the submission. The wrap-up and submission stage has a momentum that, for me at least, builds emotional energy that seems to cloud my mind – hence the major rework of the ‘charcoal and watercolor’ only one day after submitting it. I don’t think I could have had the ideas for improvement without releasing all that emotional energy that had built up by making the submission. That probably sounds crazy but that’s just the way it works for me.
As soon as you're proud of it I think you should release it. Good luck! smile:)

Hi Persidio. Thanks for bumping my mostly overlooked Charcoal and Chalk filter with your lovely samples. I think you picked a nice photo to work with - that ability must come with experience. I still mostly try things at random until I find something that will take. Very nicely done - Thank you.

Hi Ron~

You have a ton of new images coming to you on the first CD I sent.

It also helps to know the filter (((I use your filters quite a bit so usually have a great idea of what kind of image will work. Sometimes it's a hit and sometimes it's a miss... how's the Maya study going?)))

I'm going thru your filters later tonight and will try to get more examples on them. They are simply great filters to play with. You made some very nice filters!!
