i don't take credit for that, i borrowed the technique from Takashi's "Military's camouflage fabric" filter.

Hi Garbanzo~ smile:D

Hi there~ smile:D You are new~ so I'll let you know... gotta give credit when you use someone else's work. Whether it's a snippet or someone's filter... give a little thanks on the description page and also mention it if it's a filter you have in the Gallery User Forum.

Personally I never use anyone's filter and I never use snippets, (all original)~ smile:D

well...ya dont "gotta" give credit...its just good form. smile;)

I Think it really depends on how much you feel you have changed from the original, as to wether you feel it is more original than borrowed by the end.

the fabric texture is two noise layers blended together, i hardly felt it necessary to mention where i saw the technique first used until rawn made a comment on it. i refuse to list every little thing i learned from someone else. where would it all end?

it's just super that you choose not to learn from the work of others, but i prefer to use everything i can get my grubby little hands on to make my life more fulfilling.

that's my philosophy. take it or leave it.

Have to agree with garbanzo in this case; two stretched perlin noises layered via a blend are indeed too trivial.

However, if an author copied large portions of a filter/snippet, or modified a filter only slightly and submitted it as his own, then credit should be given where credit is due.

Well we agree~ That's what I was talking about~ smile:D smile:D smile:D

Creative Intelligence... if someone is going to use your creative intelligence they can at least say 'hey thanks'...

I'm honored when other filter artists like my filters... also nice if they say 'hey thanks'.

Honestly though I make fitlers for the end user who is too busy to learn filter making and just wants a great filter that is 'useable'. Don't we all hey? Sometimes it's a 'hit' and sometimes it's a 'miss'.

How ya doing today Crapadilla? Life treating you okay? BTW... my Mother loves your shark tank filter... I sent her a photo yesterday with that filter on it. She is not into graphics so all this filter stuff seems like magic to her~ Thanks again for making that great filter~

that was my whole goal with this filter, but the way i set up the tie-dye pattern didn't leave any room for variation, so i threw in a bunch of other patterns. it's an older one, but the primary preset was pretty bland, so i decided to switch it up a bit...

This tie die filter will go great with my blacklight posters filter. Maybe someone can make a beaded curtains filter and we can all sit around and listen to some Floyd.
