----Hey, ya found it ha-ha smile:p Unless I missed it, or the person who made it named it really weird, I didn't see a real soft focus filter on FF, which is crazy considering how popular that effect is in photography. Anyways, enjoy, just don't go putting a tapered blur on everything now ha-ha. smile:D

Me either... wonder why?
My "Mystic" and "Moody" filters are more related to light and shadow, but with this one I'm going to have a lot more fun with them smile;)

----Your "Foxxee's Mystic Mood Light" filter looks like it uses a frame (just looking at the presets) but you can see the edges way too clearly for the standard soft focus look. I dunno why there isn't a soft focus filter already (and maybe there is, I just looked at presets on the FF site here and didn't see any that looked like they had any controllable depth, anyone feel free to correct me if there is already one, I'd be way curious to see how they did it smile:) ), I find it tough to believe no one sat down and really looked at the effect to see what was going on, like the tapered part. Kind of funny, I didn't even know what that effect was called til I googled it and looked at some examples ha-ha, but I did recognize it instantly as that "tunnel blur" look that I wanted to copy ha-ha. smile:D

----Well, I'm sure there's a better way to accomplish the same effect, I was just shooting in the dark with a frame idea, and finally got something almost usable out of it all. Anyone who makes a better version using a different wiring scheme/components definitely deserves an HU, it wasn't easy doing it this bassackwards way ha-ha, so doing it better will be harder me thinks. smile:D

It's not the one of the robot where I used the texture from one of your filters, but a robot pic I made special for you. Hope you like it.

Full size when you click on it.

----Cool, another robot. smile:D I can't really tell though, does this one have the soft focus filter on it, or is this just a bonus robot for me ? smile:)

I couldn't find your old thread so I just posted it in here for you to find. You said you liked robot pics. No filters were used on this except the built in blur feature in PSP.

I did think about using a cartoon type filter on it. Let me check your filters. BRB

----Oh, o.k., no problems, robots can invade my threads anytime ha-ha, good stuff. smile:) I dunno if you ever do the shinier kinds of robots and stuff, but I did have a new filter last week called "Polished Metal" http://www.filterforge.com/filters/4111.html that might be of some interest to you if you do ever do the shiny/chrome kind of robots. smile:)

I have lots of robot models, but I prefer the banged up dirty ones. I will resist the urge to make them that way for one pic at least. smile:D

But after that, I beat them up again. smile:D

Thought I'd post another example pic set. First, the original (a picture I took and own any/all rights to), the 2nd is with the blur set to *inner*, and the 3rd, is with the blur set to *outer*, all other settings were the same. This is just a slight adjustment off of one of the presets, it took maybe 90 seconds to adjust. Take unprecedented control of your soft blur effects with this filter. smile:D

Wow, I gotta say, I'm a little surprised that one version of very few versions in the library at all, of the single most popular picture effect of all time (soft blur), has hit Low Usage ranking ha-ha. I've said it before, and now I'm saying it again, you just never know what filters people will like/want/use here at FF headquarters. smile:p

This was the slowest-to-reach-HU for such an obvious/popular filter concept ever ha-ha. Sadly, that mirror image one I made in an hour and a quarter went HU waaayyyy faster than this one, and it probably should've just been a snippet really. smile:p
