what an interesting array of effects. interesting background coupled with the high tech 'bars/stiles' and then the central look which is all its own.

not sure what i could use this for, but still, an interesting look.

Thanks StevieJ and Kraellin smile:D - I'm not sure how it could be used either – I was thinking that a wall with tiles like this or a wall with one of these tiles could play an important role in a scene that needs to build suspense. A distant character or object could be seen in the reflection. A camera could linger at one of these tiles or maybe a change in DOF could correspond with some subtle movement. Although in the case of a single tile, say at the end of a hall, the filter would have more value if I set up a toggle for the object so the wall would blend – maybe I will do that. Sometimes I wish the FF users would make more requests from us, regarding individual filters/texture, so we would know exactly what they want. smile:)

the best use i can make out of it currently is, some sort of organic portal or window.

I went ahead and added the option of removing the object. Here is a simple example of how one pass can be used to create the wall tile and another for the object tile. Notice how any character could be easily seen moving on the bridge. smile:)

I'm not going anywhere. I just don't get to work on FF as much as I like. I use FF as a reward for success in other areas. smile:)

It's a struggle but I'm lucky to have the opportunity to pursue it.

How is all the new software coming? Do you have a handle on how best to continue? What have you decided to concentrate on first?

When I get my new machine [ XPS 720 ] I'm going to start on Golive which ties together with photoshop etc nicely and sound easier to learn being more visual than code/visual, then go back to Dreamweaver smile:)

I would be going crazy waiting for the new one to arrive. smile:D smile:banana: smile:beer: I just checked out the XPX 720 at Dell and it looks great. How much memory did you get? Did you go get any extras like a super fancy graphics card? Did you go with Vista?

I find Adobe's products very confusing in this area - there seems to me to be a lot of overlap.

That looks like a good choice and a smart decision - a good place to spend a little extra.

Wow. All new hardware and software - for people like us it just doesn't get much better. smile:D

I saw jffe pull one out one time, it went from lu to hu, but he had to rework it. But I take your point. If it goes lu the users are telling you something.
