Can anyone help me out making this filter better? for instance, how to get rid of the blocky kind of thing in the wood?
Love to hear, as i just dumped in some things to see if i could make a filter myself that would be usefull
Many thanks in advance!

dumping things together is fine at first. that's how we all began, and that's how we learn to use the program. keep doing it for a while, until you get used to what the different components do. also have a look into some of the filters that other users have posted to see how they work.
once you get the hang of things, you can visualize your desired results, then start working towards them with the components. of course many filters do come of dumping things together to see what happens, but most of the time, it doesn't result in anything special.

to add light and depth you need to change the 'result' from 'simple filter' to 'surface filter'.
have a look at 'wet stone', it's one of the default filters that comes with the program. study it, figure out how it works, then try to add some dimension to yours.
