I agree. Nice one! And I like how the circular shattering is achieved.
[Small nitpick: Note that the normal map is completely flat because the bump map does not feature any smooth transitions (which also renders any Reflectivity useless). Consequently, it would be logical to turn this into a simple filter.] --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Simple filter: I'll take a look at that. I might have used the bump to enhance the edges, but it could be done with the highpass alone. Which might be what I did in the end anyways...
I'm certainly joining the "I wish the filter scaling was independently proportional to vertical and horizontal image sizes" camp -- these radial filters fall apart the moment you don't have a square image. I figured another way of making a circular gradient, but the only difference is it then repeats the image instead of blowing it apart. Dunno if that's that much better. |
