Wow, really I am sorry , I honestly am. I thought ( not knowing anything at all about making filters in the first place ) that you could render ones like I did. Please forgive me and it will not happen again. I am extremely ignorant of anything to do with graphics other than painting and drawing at home. Just learning about computer graphics and am embarrassed I caused problems.

Sincerely,

Stacy

Thanks Stacy, I totally understand your confusion! And like stevej said- it's no problem. Sorry if I was rude at all! I'm glad to see you experimenting and contributing in FF, it's totally fine to use the filters and make textures for your own use, but usually if you submit a filter you want to make substantial changes. smile;)

I do think that a sort of "user generated preset" submission would be pretty sweet. Oftentimes I'll be able to create a preset that's real nice and want to share it, maybe some sort of hash generated from current slider positions could be shared?

It's all cool as the others said smile:) and as part of the learning curve you should use the contact tab at the top of the page and request FF to remove the filter if you haven't already smile;)

Have a look at the snippet sections in the library, they are there to be used as basis for developing ideas [ you can cut and paste into your own filters ] and will help you understand filter construction better, it is also good etiquette to credit authors whose work is used as part of your filters. If you get stuck on a filter your working on you can post it in User Gallery or Creating Filters and people will happily help you in anyway they can.

Welcome, enjoy and we look forward to your next filter smile:D
