Awwh Thanks Ahimsa. Was my first big project I set myself.. don't know why I went for door knobs though! smile;). Have about 5 different versions though although after I uploaded this I noticed Crapadilla's screw, so am thinking maybe workout how to incorporate that into a door knob to get rid of the variation/size issue.

hehe plus I realised I liked the texture on the knob so I made a filter with just them, part from I need to tweak it somehow cause it takes 8 minutes to render!
Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

That is a very long render time.

I like the first one the best because it really looks like it is carved.

The one I uploaded was like version 6 or something, version 3 I think looks pretty rounded but I had the colour at the wrong place so no matter what colour you set the colour pickers too, the final door knob looked like different shades of wood. Mind I know a bit more now than I did that week so I might go back to them and see how I can improve the outcome so they all look curved, and can be coloured too smile:D.

i definitely like some of these, default, #1, 4, 5 and 7
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Um.. try 11 minutes.. did a filter yesterday and went away came back and nearly fainted when I had seen the render time! Then went in and took out everything I could get away with not having. Takes a lot less time to render now.. got it down to half a min to 3 min's depending on the pattern.

Cool, I'll probably do some work on the filter though, cause I know more now than I did that week, being that was the very first week I had used FF.
