A minor problem with the normal map -- the bubbles are shaped conically:

Thanks Craig.
Does anybody has a tip about how to get rid of the f[beep] 'shaped conically'? ![]() Btw Vlad, the Result Component or other that has 'Height' would has a 'Height shape' where you would select CONE or SPHERE! ![]() |

Very nice, I'd just like to note that 'real' bubble wrap is tiled in a hexagonal fashion...
http://www.virtual-bubblewrap.com/ima...00x600.jpg Make something like that and you've got a winner. |

LMAO
I guess its a linear gradient somewhere that creates the conic shapes in your height maps. Use a bias or gamma curve instead. Ideally, the profile of this curve should be a quarter circle. This way, you would get a perfect hemisphere in the height map. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Thanks for the tip Crapa, I've tried the Contrast+Bias, but It still doesn't work very good. Well, I've changed the structure and created new controls: Now, you can use it as texture or as effect over your image. You can control the bubble wrap color, increase or decrease the number of bubbles, change its state and bubble wrap side. In sum, I'm sending an update of my Bubbles Wrap (texture) and the version for effect. So, stay tuned in folks! ![]() |
