This needs a non-framed fractal option. Just throw a perlin noise node in there, and bam.
I'd like to give you my usage stats ![]() |

Thanks for the comments.
![]() What do you mean by "non-framed"? If you want it to make a landscape only based on the perlin noise you can turn the "randomness" slider up to 100%. The filter uses 3 different sources to make the landscape: - A "shaping" source which is either the external image source OR a simple round island shape (depending on which source is selected). - A regular random perlin noise (controlled via the "randomness" slider. - A "ridged" perlin noise (controlled via the "ridge strength" slider. I know the filter description (and maybe the slider names) could use a bit more work. So comments are appreciated! I'd also like some feedback on the complexity of the filter. I ended up adding enough features to make it nice looking, but stopped before it became too slow and unwieldy. If I were to make another landscape filter would you prefer a simpler/faster one or a more advanced (but slower) one? |

Inspired by this thread http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...ssage13955 I tried to make my own skull and bones island.
