Great filter! I played around with it a little and replaced the gradient with a switch and several different kinds of noise.

Thanks gws...I was going to put more choices in there but sometimes I like to leave room for the user of some of my filters for modding...Hopefully they enjoy it more... smile;) smile:)

grindhouse is a genre or style. here's a wiki definition of it:

thus, a grindhouse film would be one that fit within that definition. it can be the theatre or the type of film typically shown in such a theatre.

so, yes, brains on the windshield would fit smile:)
