			I thought mapping fractals to a lit surface would look pretty cool, but I think the 2D ones turn out better.  Combining them is kind of fun, though.  It's amazing how entertaining a little math formula can be.

			KPT as in Kai's Power Tools?  Man, I haven't seen that in YEARS.  My friend had a copy back when I was in high school like... oh, wow, 14 years ago (am I really that old?)  I don't remember it having any fractal stuff, though.
 
 I'm glad you enjoy the filters.  This one is fun to tweak the C values on and see what subtle changes to the numbers bring.  It would be cool to animate it.

			I believe -Fractal Explorer- was the first of the KPT suite of tools waaaaay back for Mac OS7,
