This looks very nice and interesting and gives a very good effect of the scratch effect so you can view the other side of the image, and could be combined with a special image in the back so it shows through the monster scratchs.

Could the scratchs be changes if you change the source in the filter editor ?

I mean if you wanted to make the scratched in different size or sizes, o have more than 3 scratches, or have them more separated.

In this version each scratch size can be changed by "Right Claw Scale", "Center Claw Scale", and "Left Claw Scale". But current version applies scale after distortion. Because of it, distortion level is different from others. I would like to fix it soon.

I edited this filter.
Add a new option that scratch input images.
It is possible to create more than 3 scratches by using new option.

I updated this filter today.
It supports input image as shown in variation 1.

By applying this filter to the same image repeatedly, you can make more than 3 scratches as shown above.

I added margin control options between each scratches.
It is also able to control entire scratches size.

I have now got back to this filter and have seen that I did not remember that was well done and you can get good effects and can customize the scratches well.

And also is good idea to use the same source image after the FF result more times to make more scratches just by rotating the scratches and so mix them.
