This looks very nice, interesting and useful, and well done, BUT I think it would be even better if it had a levels components with it´s own controls AND a brightness and contrast controls too, so with these would be really perfect to customize and make a perfect looking black and white.
I can add this myself in the filter editor, but it would be good that the author makes it himself and updates this filter, so it does not loose the usage rank if I use it outside from the filter library, as I want to respect the author´s work.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions!
You're right, a kind of brightness/contrast control is missing. After reading your comment, I wasn't sure about using both Levels AND Brightness/Contrast, because I thought you could have similar results, but its not the case, so you're right
Still a question : In which order do you think it would be better? Levels before or after B/C ?

Hello,
You are right that having BOTH could be probably sometimes the same, and could get the same result, but if you want to put only one, I would choose levels that offer more control, specially for black and white, and athough contrast could be probably be done using Levels, is not the best way, and is not the friendliest way either, as many beginners know better how to use brightness and contrast than levels, so perhaps woudl be useful in this case to have both if you want.
Levels also have gamma, so as you have already included it, you do not need to repeat it.
I think the order is the probably the same, both should be at the end with the default presets equal to the result of your original filter WITHOUT this components, I mean after adding these components you should get the same result as if they were NOT there, so have to define the sliders so this is true.
If I have to choose I would put first Levels and then Brightness and Contrast, but I think that the order perhaps is not important.
With this added controls it will be more easier to configure and tweak better the final result as it depends much on the source photo, and obviously not all photos are the same.
Thanks very much.

Hi!
I wasn't really satisfied with levels neither brightness/contrast, so I kind of made my own controls using curves (and some maths!). I tried to keep it very intuitive, and I am happy with the result ^^
thanks for your help!

Thanks to you for making it a better filter. I suggested the Levels and brightness contrast because was the easiest thing to add, but if you say that the results have not been satisfying and you have made your own controls is even better, as surely you have tried it in the best way, and will be better, and the good thing is that you are happy with the result.
Glad for being of help.
I forgot to give my congratulations for your first filter published and give you a welcome to the forum as this is your first post too.
