These look beautiful and as grey scale versions I could use them as base relief for my own work.
BUT but for some reason, all I get is a flat black fill.
I don't have any issues with other filters and I use processor high filters a lot with renders that take 15 - 20 mins on a 1024 texture so I dont think its my computer.
I am on an iMac with 16 Gigs of RAM and am using FF 2 Pro.

The quickest way to what I think you're looking for is to have FF render only the bump map.
Have FF render it normally (though I note that presets rather inexplicably don't have the seamless tiling checkbox ticked off, so you'll probably want to do that first).
Once you have something which looks pleasing, go under the Filter menu and you'll see that the very last item is a submenu labelled "Render Maps".
Normally, it's set to "Off". Change it to "Bump Map" and you'll get what I believe you're looking for.

your default image would look better (at least to me) without the groove lines cut into it. otherwise, very nice. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Hi
No, I think perhaps I didn't explain it right.
I want the standard colour image. It gives me black.
If I render Bump I get white.
If I render Normal I get all blue.
It doesnt matter what filter I try to render it with, all I get is a blank white, black or for Normal blue image.

RoseEnglish: Sorry to hear that. I'm afraid I can't help much, I basically played with the demo version to create a few filters, and didn't go to the paid version when that ran out, so I'm not in a good position to troubleshoot. I'm hoping to maybe purchase FilterForge in the next couple of months, hopefully I will get a chance to tinker with these again.

It looks like your layer in photoshop needs to be flattened...FF is reading that you have loaded no image...This is what this filter needs otherwise you get that blank screen.... Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times!

Ahh ok...
I havent tested that theory but it makes sense...I never run FF with a white or "filled" layer I always start with 100% transparency for some reason.
Many thanks CF I will come back and report my findings cause I am sure other people must have had the same problem as me but just gave up and that's a shame cause odadune did a great job with this filter, its uses are potentially many!
Thanks so much for responding...
Oh and odadune, that's a shame, they should GIVE you a copy if you create filters of that quality! I thought that was the whole incentive to create them (?)

Rose and CFandM: I went ahead and claimed the coupon that one HU point entitled me to...I'm just making sure the onsite sales and the personal finances align just so before I purchase.

I'm having problems getting the image to render properly also. Here is an example using your Default preset:

I think I saw something similar on one of my "work in progress" versions of the filter updates, and may have sent the wrong version to the library. I have gone back and tweaked the presets again to make sure they're seamless, and as soon as I can make sure that they're behaving properly I will re-submit the filter and see if that helps.
I believe I created this filter in FF2, but the updated versions have been done in FF3. I don't know whether you are using FF2 or FF3, or whether that would affect your results.

OK, I am uploading the updated version now; maybe that will help when it shows up on the site.
