Thanks! I just got Filter Forge a couple of days ago so I'm still trying to get a hang of it.

Nice filter agentfros, congratulations.
Just as suggestion for an update version, you would add two slider controls into connected to the Perlin Noise which is connected to Brightness/Contrast. The sliders are to be connected on Roughness and Contrast options of Perlin Noise. So, users can play a little more with noise. Actually sliders in all options in this component would be great. Well, just a suggestion. Really great filter, thumbs-up! |

i'm hardly the one to suggest this, since some of my filters are all over the place, but in this particular filter, i'd narrow the range of the effect. that default preset is very good and i'd narrow the rest of the filter to produce that sort of effect only. it can have a ton of variations, but i'd narrow this one down.
some filters are meant to be 'all over the place'. i make a lot of those types for my own use, but this one has one or two very good effects and i'd make the filter about those. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

@Lucrato, Thanks for the suggestion! If I rework this filter I'll definitely do that.
@Kraellin, True. I tried to work in a graphic element in there so it would be just used for walls. But in retrospect I should probably keep those ideas separate In that case I'll keep this filter focused on damaged walls and maybe post another filter later focused on futuristic graphics. Thanks for the advice. |
