Hi Orteil,

Aquaria is one of the cleverest filters I've seen yet. I looked at the code, and I will freely admit that it's too complex for me to understand. I have a problem in that the only renderings I can make have that damn life preserver around the fish. Is there a simple setting to make renderings look like your presets? When I looked at the code, I saw something that looked like it might enhance the bones on the translucent part of the fins, but I couldn't make bones show up, nor could I figure out how to increase the sharpness (reduce the blur) of the fins. As things stand now, the fin blur is excessive and detracts from the illusion of a rare fish.

Though unschooled in Filterforge, I'm quite adept with Photoshop, and I'll be able to work around these minor issues. However, I hope that you will consider these points in a future release. That said, great job!

Regards,

Yes. Just go to File -> New image and select a transparent background.
No life preserver smile:)
