			Interesting effect.

One of the great things I've noticed about Filter Forge is when you find a combination like this, you can then go in and edit/create a filter that does the combination for you for future projects. And so then you'll be able to play with the slider knobs of the original cartoon filter, and can immediately see how it looks as a soft light layer. (So you can experiment with different choices a lot faster.) (Of course this only works with simple filters -- not surface ones). |

Thanks ssamm! Yes it is how i work. Have found that for me FF is a treasure of possibilities for my kind if images, and I like experimenting a lot.

I am not good of making my own filters though, but I hope i can give someone a little inspiration how to also use them |

SSamm, you are wrong when you think it doesn't work with surface filters.

Look here! Same old lady together with some surface filters like Metal storm, CyberGlow,Yellow rusty wall, and some others. Just apply the filter. Click CtrlC - Ctrl X - Ctrl L and you have two layers you can merge in different ways. |

Very nice! I especially like the first one and that last yellow rusty wall one.

Yeah, I've been using layers with surface filters (in PaintShopPro). I just meant inside Filter Forge itself you can't edit the filter to blend the "surface" effect with another layer (since the surface effect is only used as a final adjustment). |

That's a very interesting use of effect on the last one! The last one somehow reminds me of the atmosphere of a Silent Hill game ^_^ Nice!

I was similarly reminded of Silent Hill, I think it's because of the rust tone, the lips on the man, and the tired-looking eyes. Or maybe he's not really feeling that way, bu that's how I interpret it.

Torley, this is the bride, not the man.

I have not seen Silent Hill, so I don't know that, but when I made it I thought of the feeling the bride could have in an arranged marriage with an older man, that she did not love, but was forced to marry. She felt fenced in, being in a situation she had not chosen. Hence her sad look, and the bars. |

Gunsan, I like your interpretation....the emotion behind the emotion....hard to get from a single image, but I think you got it in the last two....

I wasn't able to get through to it, but wow, what I did see was pretty amazing. Fantasy character making is really getting big. I had no idea....feel like I'm leading a sheltered life

Did the link not work. It is funny, but many say that to look at my gallery at Renderosity they ask for logging in, but so it should not be. The gallery is, or shall be, open to all.

How is it if you try this link? http://www.renderosity.com/mod/galler...ame=gunsan Would be interresting to hear if you get in, or not. If I log out from Renderosity and try, there are no problems, but as I said, some people don't get in. Please try and tell me if it works. |

nice gallery, gunsan. i like that your renderings have a story to them. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
