Ben, when you made that nebulae filter and posted it back on the 2.0 beta gallery (or somewhere), I was going... that's just awesome. You have no idea how long and far I've gone to just get nebulesque results and still haven't got the look I want. But that filter just nails it and I think you can use more praise.

Skybase, thank you. I forgot that I posted that one too. I really do want to finish that one up, I may just throw a few of them (the actual filters) up in here at some point...as unorganized and slow as they are.

Those beam textures are squished to allow more variance along the beam, the end result looks a bit different.

			Submit all those filters, PLEASE!

Several people have shown their interest in these filters, even if they may be slow, but the forum was reset... I remember I said something like some things are worth the wait. |

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I posted a download before this all went down, well here it is again. It's just the cartoon islands one for now. I did a bit of organizing but it's really quite ugly inside still. I hope something can be learned from it (maybe how not to organize). It could certainly do with a FF4 cleanup pass lol. I'd like to post the nebula one but I'm trying to locate the actual latest version.

Oh and this supports images as height maps. The 3 coverage properties specify height thresholds and are all backwards so it's confusing and things break easily. Also time of day doesn't really look good except at sunset. Set gradient to 0 for fully seamless. Cartoon Islands18.ffxml |

This has been my desktop for a few years now. It's meant to look like the drapes in my room at night with the moon out. All FF of course, made for dual monitors.

And I think I posted this before the site went down too? This one's recent.
I decided to post this filter too since it does some cool (but simple) things. *Edit: web image links not working? You may need to right click the images and open in new tab to properly view. Shrub.ffxml |
