Hello all. I'm planning to submit a filter that generates matcaps. For anyone not familiar, matcaps are great for 3D sculpting and for cheap realtime rendering...
http://docs.pixologic.com/user-guide/...ap-basics/ http://www.blendtuts.com/matcaps_in_blender Of course this is a pretty simple thing to generate with Filter Forge since much of the needed functionality is already built into the lighting tab. As such, I am surprised such a filter doesn't already exist. There are a few that generate interesting spheres, but none that are optimized specifically for matcaps. Anyway, the attached image is a sneak peek. Any feedback is welcome. |

You must upload the image somewhere else to post it on this forum.
Copy the link of your image. Example : This is the link to an image from my site : http://ramlyn.net/yahoo_site_admin/as..._large.jpg Click Image and paste the link. Click ok and the image will appear. 
The pictures in your dropbox are nice. I hope to see your filter soon.  |

I just submitted the filter. It will be listed as by "sleekdigital". I'm using this "skrichten" account in the forums only because my original sleekdigital account is unable to post to the forums for some reason.
