The first one is really interesting  Looks like two different effects..... If they are in the same filter, maybe "The Uberstractor"  Steve

Ahahaha, now that you mention it, it does indeed look like a demented clown! Awesome effect you got going with the first preset, but you got a point that it might not be the easiest filter to name. Would you say the majority of results would be more like example #1 or example #2? -Zephos |

You can make unlimited variations of either. The first efffect might be more original/interesting though so I may want to emphasize it more.

that first one really has some metal in it on that ring around the lifepreserver. and the background looks like a decaying metal shed wall. so, the whole reminds me of the inside of a machinist's shop or mechanic's garage. and i'm with the others, i'd emphasize that one first.
and the last one reminds me of a silver paint in solution, before it's been mixed properly. or maybe aluminum paint... yeah, aluminum paint, though it would need more grain. aluminum paint has a really fine grain in solution. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

i just noticed something here, uber. if you start with the first image and progress through all of them in sequence and add a few more frames to the sequence, you'd have quite a molten metal animation. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
