I decided to go ahead and hand code a CSS web page for my profile and also one that I can put in the filter when uploading to the library.
((Yes I know HTML and CSS and enjoy coding by hand.)) Anyway---> the background uses two filters I made exclusive for the web page if you want to see them in action. I swear if I had put these two in the Gallery they would not have downloaded well and why I choose to make them exclusive for that page. Just two filters that would not have shown well on the wheel. That is me at 42 in shades and the background hides me well too but I think it gives a 'thank you' page a personal touch. So now when I upload filters and put the URL in I can thank users in advanced. Anyone else beside NorthernShadow have any a web page listed in your profile? I'd love to see. (((I've seen NorthernShadow's... wonderful site.))) Tired and signing out for the night. If any of the images fail or the page does not show right... please let me know. Persidio P.S. I'm so tired I posted without giving the URL http://www.persidio.net/FF/filters.htm There ya go~ ![]() |

Went to bed last night with the rough draft on the page~ and without loading the links I needed to.
The rough draft has been cleaned up. I was in the web page for about 5 min deleting and uploading content so if you had trouble viewing ----> that was me messing around with the page but I'm all done now. ![]() |

Hi Steve~
![]()
TY on the page~ The background filter makes wings---> moth or butterfly not sure which. LOL When I made it I was going for butterfly wings---> not sure that's what I got though. And then the photo cut out ----> I'm in front of flowers I grew from seed---> photo taken by my daughter)... then two applications of my veil filter.
Well I've made many web sites in the past (all kinds of methods... slice and dice done straight from the paint program--- triple table code---- HTML, CSS, mostly hand coding if not 'slice and dice' ...). And ... I just bought some new space in January. [/B] It's just sitting and waiting for me to get to it. I think I'm going to learn .php or start messing with it. (((Stayed away from that in the past))). Here are some of my ideas: A gallery type, maybe photos that be can be self uploaded by photographers with permissions for others to use. I don't know yet,,, still thinking. That would hinge on my being able to install the necessary files and would be a new area of web design for me personally. ((I am going to explore this today)). I may have to stop what I'm doing to learn it. ((ACk more to learn)). I could do this in regular Gallery HTML, CSS fashion---> that's within my talents but then I'd have to sort thru and load everything myself. More time involved. So I'm still thinking. Also I have a very old site I never took down---> I thought I got everything but... apparently it has a nice 52,000 plus hits on it so... ((and that was one of my smaller ones) I may have to take some time and revamp the old one before starting on the new one. It was the first of it's kind when I put it up,,, LOL,,, now there are a ton of those sites. So guess I inspire people~ ![]() I don't know which way I'm going to go with the new space yet~ ![]() I also like to make page templates so I may make those on the new space (especially with all the great filters from FF, could make some awesome web site templates). And that could be done Gallery style... so mostly leaning in this direction after the revamp on the old site which is going to be a nightmare because I may have to revamp all the graphics (((my old stuff----> like nails on a chalk board to see ones older graphics----> I'm much better now, LOL))). That site was put up 5 years ago, was going to update it in 2005,,, said I would on the site then... nothing.. and there it still sits. Which is why I'm hesitating now on the new space----> web sites take lots of maintance and how much time do I want to invest? This depends on what kind of site I put up. A conumdrum. It won't be anything for sale because I like helping others out. So if I ever did provide anything for sale it would be along with lots and lots of free goodies.
Now 'that' would be fun! LOL (((((thinking... hahaha))))) Also I have got to take some time to put some examples up for my filters----> most of them are 'graphics supply' types and need examples. And I want to make a link on the thank you page that leads to a second with 'links' to my friends filters. I take it you don't mind if I put a link to your filters on a second page off this one? And on the first page a link that says... 'Friends Filters'... new page opens... then...
With links going to each friends filter list. (((with their permission of course))) Jean |

Sorry, I don't..... I sell fine art works that would be compromised if seen on the web..... You have lots of good ideas.....that will, at the very least, promote and market your name ![]() ![]() I was thinking that your awesome self-portrait with my glass filter would make an excellent logo for you..... ![]()
Ah, so you have a love-hate relationship with my filters, eh??? ![]() Steve

LOL--------------> Now was thinking we could bash others filters---------> My Bad. ((was just joking))((I have high regard for the filter artists here))
Self portrait---> ??? Don't think I've done one yet. You mean the photo on the thank you page? Just a photo.
Well I'm already very well known in some circles---> respected. So... at this point not sure what direction I want to take. Guess what though!!!! I did it,,, loaded the .php based Gallery ---> Now I have to go in and customize it, so... I am reading PHP help/learning pages today. Here is a page I'm currently on... http://us2.php.net/tut.php (((looks like something I can grasp since I already know HTML and CSS... have known it for a long.. long.. time. PHP is new to me. Always good to learn new things. I may use the Gallery just for my stuff or may do something public with it------> leaning toward a private Gallery though. My hesitancy comes from not knowing PHP very well... yet.
Oh do tell!~ Yes I understand. I used to visit the National Gallery of Art Museum in Washington D.C. quite a bit (when I lived in the area) and LOVE the fine arts. |

Oh LOL -------------------> No.
The picture on the my 'thank you page' is me. Long hair down to my waist----> I made sure I choose a pic that hides me well. LOL No that is from OminixPNG was a resource for graphics artists. They closed down after six and a half years and I happen to have their images burned on CD. Offered for use for graphics artists. That image is not one of my creations. The old site was here http://www.ominix.com/ (((They had some very nice .png's))) I back up the images on my harddrive for personal use in case I have a crash. So backing up my images is not a new thing for me. When I was going thru my 'graphics trunk' the other day I found their PNG's on one of many CD's.((Snd I always save text files for source if not mine----> and permissions.)) (((And yes it's a real trunk and stuffed full of stuff from the last 10 years))). Even have an old Opera browser laying around... LOL. My great grand kids will laugh one day. The image above can't be found anymore and I think it's okay to pass to you since it was for graphics artists and does not have a copyright. If you want her. Just let me know~ ![]() Jean |

That's sweet~ ![]() The Presidio used to be an old army base----> born in 1963. My Dad did three tours in Vietnam and has a 'Purple Heart Medal'. The Presidio of San Francisco is now a 'National Park'. ((The hospital I was born in has long since been torn down.)((We did live on base for a short time))... then house... then with my Granparents when Dad had to ship off)). You can find it pictures of it on the web easily. So I will most likely go thru old photos ----> or find some royalty free ones, or even email for permissions from the photographer if I find one I like. (((Usually artists are very open when you ask permissions)))((Being born there has it's perks, LOL----> anytime I go back to the city and mention it.... I am sooo in with the locals))). If not then I don't use, but have found that simply asking works wonders~ ![]() The Presidio of San Francisco is a U.S. National Historic Landmark. P.S. All I did was put in Presidio----> and up comes Presidio of San Francisco~ ![]() http://www.presidio.gov/ http://www.google.com/search?q=Presid...tartPage=1 Used to live on base with my family. Also my Grandfather was a Lt. Colonel and worked on base, and Grandma worked on base for a time too. When Dad was in 'Nam we lived with my Grandparents in Daly City (South San Francisco)... a nice view. My Grandmother was in the earthquake in 89' and she and her home were fine,,, but there was a family panic. My brother and Uncle were in the city and helping. Lots of memories there----> but I have lived all over the U.S. |

LOL--------> My husband does cook sometimes~ ![]() "Behind every great woman is a man messing up her kitchen". ![]() ![]() LOL
Well, 44 and have lived life to the fullest~ Also just some strange circumstances mixed in too~ Life is bizarre that way. Happened to be driving on the highway in Florida when the shuttle blew up... thought at first it was an airplane... all cars including me pulling over to look up in the sky. ((You'all remember that right... ARGH))((Terrible))((I was about 23 when I lived in Florida)). Was in what became the red zone for Mt. Saint Helens before it blew. Went back to Oregon---> and then because of company contracts went back to Washington and was able to fly (Helicopter) out to the the red zone after it blew and... look around. Didn't stay long but it was safe enough. ((Don't ask... another long but interesting story I've tried to shorten to a few lines above... (((Used to be a Pacific Northwest Girl, LOL))) Stuff just happens to me not my fault. But it has helped me as a writer because the more bizarre life is.. the easier it is to create fictional scenerios (if that makes any sense). I will say my life has not been boring~. Life is fun!~ ![]() ![]() ![]() |
