Here is the latest and it Renders Really fast smile:D

It has a ton of options just like the infinite mirror does so you can fine toon it for instance it allows you to tile the source as well as tweak the curve and the start location of the deform

First you use a frame component with a circular curve
then the only difference from my infinite mirror is instead of refraction I use an offset

step one I use a gain curve on the 2 profile gradients for the offset

then for the offset percentage I use an identical frame component and circular curve except I invert the curve

next I add slide components to the curve for the start and minimum --this helps tweakt the effect

then on the frame component it self I plut a slider on the margin width --this determines where it starts

on all the frame component i put a check control on the curve so i can check mark it as either square or circle ---and your done just pipe the offsets one into a nother like I do on the infinite mirror use a switch for how many generations and your done smile:D

Like I said Ill submitt it now for you guys smile:)

volde,

interesting filter. and i decided to take you up on doing this a 'different or better way', and whereas i dont know that 'better' qualifies here, it is a bit different. all i did was add in some of the controls available. this breaks your original intent and effect on the filter, but does show some other, interesting ideas that could be done. most notably to me is, medallians and emblems. i think there's a real potential in this filter for that sort of thing.

i'm not submitting this to the library, since all i did was add a couple controls and presets, but i am posting it here.

oh, and who is 'root'? that's the name that's showing as the author on my versions.

hehe, volde, seems neither of us will post it then smile;) i just wouldnt feel right posting something that is 99.9% your work.

but, what i would feel comfortable with, is posting a pic using the filter. this is steve's cup pic caught in the vortex smile:)

Okay Okay Okay Ill say this Your name will be in the filter title and description then--

any 2 people can slap together some sperm and eggs but it takes real parents to raise a child and thats kind of how I look at this

My idea but you gave it that extra punch that made it all the better
so If I have to do it Like I said your name is in the credits and name of the filter smile:dgrin: Im not the nameless evil one for no reason you know

I would Like to clarify one thing again for everyone
Im not just saying this to sound noble or something like that
I REALLY DONT CARE WHO GETS THE CREDIT
I mean it
So long as I end up with something useable and the community benifits thats all I care about
Ive done severl hundred tutorials on stuff throughout the net under different usernames and submitted tons of scripts and other stuff as well
some assset packs for games included
Every time I say the same thing
I dont care who uses them or how they are used so long as people get some benifit from it
I dont even care about credit either

Ive had quite a few of my ideas or techniques ripped off over the years --not here though wich says alot about this community

but ive never cared

and one last thing I know at some point I probably forgot to credit someones snippet or core filter that I based some work upon

agian If I did

It was not intentionall and I appologize
Pleas let me know and I wall fix it imediatly smile:)
