I thought it would be fun to try to combine some of StevieJ's filters together into one larger filter -- so here's my attempt. I didn't put too much effort into this, where I was just stealing ideas and quickly adding them together -- but here it is in case anyone's interested.
StevieJ, I hope you take this as a bit of an hommage/tribute -- but beware you might find yourself "rolling in your grave" (or whatever the living equivalent is here) at how unrefined it is.  StevieJ Meta j1p.ffxml |

Actually I can't remember exactly -- I just went through some filters and thought, "I'll try to add that..." (I think I looked at some glass, solar, metal, and glaze filters.) I remember changing a thing or two slightly also...
Well, the filter was a quickie -- so that's fair. Still, it entertained me, and may have future fun potential too.

I've tried fooling around with them like that too.....and sometimes you actually do stumble accrossed some neat things that way. I also agree that they can be fun in the "unpredictability" aspect of them too Steve

yup, i actually wish more folks would do some combining of existing filters. my whole 'monster' filter has produced some interesting effects that way.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Yeah, unlimitted amount of very different effects could be achieved in that many.....and hardly anyone realizes it.....

well, there are some definite inhibitors on combining, and probably the main one is that folks dont want to try to infringe on someone else's ideas and 'steal their glory'. i know i've been dealing with that in the monster. and then there's the whole 'one filter, one effect' idea which runs pretty stongly here on the forums. so, there's definitely some mental barriers to overcome before even doing such a filter, let alone publishing it.

Well, I figure if it looks so close as to infringe upon someone elses work, just approach the author and ask if they wouldn't mind. Personally, I wouldn't have a problem at all with it if someone just approached me with it first.....I just don't like seeing obvious clones or close variants from my work just popping up without a word or credit. That's just my personal feeling about it.....but I've grown accustom to the fact that it is going to happen and just have to live with it.....

yup, pretty much the same here. my biggest problem now is remembering all the filters in included in the monster and including all those credits
