----I think that's just because of the overall *lightness* of that picture, that makes it look like a stone carving, as compared to the flower with the dark background that looks more plastic-y. But, at least some other pictures look better than the "won't-it-ever-just-die-and-go-away?!" life preserver eh.

But yeah, I still need some wild animal footage, and it has to be royalty free/used with permission, since it's gonna go on our demo reel alongside tv stuff, and grown ups will see it etc. I could just use some 320X240 12bit Battery Shack $119 digicam shots of the squirrels yelling at me in the backyard, but somehow that just lacks drama and exoticness. I found a guy on ebay from Canada who sells royalty free stock footage of British Columbia (for like $39.95 or something for 20 minutes of clips), and am trying to talk him into doing a dvd of animal clips, even if it's just local beach/woods footage. Cause everywhere else I've looked online for usable stuff, it's like $299-$2500 for 20 or 30 short clips. Or else it's $25 a clip, and either way, it adds up fast if ya wanna show a dozen clips eh.
