Thanks. I'm still wanting it to be more *defined*. There's quite a bit of symmetry that's being lost, and I'm not sure why, other than the rather large amount of blur required to make any decent looking metal surface. I'll keep kicking the tires on it for a bit longer and see if I can fix it.

i like the curving pattern on this and nice metal look.
post the filter if you want some help on it, jffe. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Thanks for looking all, I'll try and work on it some more this week. I'm just not thrilled with the excessive blur/blob look required to get good metallics and any real smoothness. The curves are definitely getting a bit washed out, but I'll experiment some more and try to clean them up some.
