This is my new turquoise texture. I should have it out on Monday. There is still time to make changes if anyone has suggestions.

Thanks,
Ron

Looks pretty cool, kinda map-like ha-ha, maybe if possible, try for some more sharp edges, like umm, crystal-ish maybe. Maybe 2 noise compenents with a switch, I dunno, just making a vague suggestion. smile:D

What look are you aiming for? I can't really begin to make suggestions because I don't know what I am looking at, sorry.

But if I had to choose, I would say the first is better than the later. They feel just a little to simple.

Ok, I will try to sharpen it up a little and make it less simple. Thanks for the suggestions. I also need to look at performance and tie up some loose ends.

Thanks a lot,
Ron

I wonder ron can you choose your own colour scheme { knowing what else you've been working on] the reason I ask if people like other colour [ there some heritics out there who don't like green { my favorite colour } or just prefer other colours ]I think if you can't it's a limitation on mass appeal and variable use smile:)

The short answer is no but the long answer is that you do not *have* to choose a color. The idea was that there was no variation that did not generate a sample of turquoise. The filter would randomly assign a color scheme and distribution that would always *look* like turquoise. This eliminated five controls. Five!
Here is how it was to work; the user clicked on variations to select a new sample, then a single slider was used to control all states of processing from raw ore to a polished gemstone.

limitation on mass appeal

It has been determined to be a hideous cockroach and locked in its room to be starved of attention until it withers and dies. Fortunately it was able to render its own tombstone which I am attaching.

LMAO smile:D I'm sure there will be volunteers to save it from such a tragic demise smile:)
