Hey lynn, love the patterns smile:)

Humble suggestion.....maybe simplify the patterns a little more to bring the wood out.....and maybe make it look like the segments are at different 3D relief levels.....but that's just me smile:) Carl, Craig, and jffe should be along soon to dissagree with me smile;) smile:D LOL..... just kidding smile:)

----Hmm, is it a surface/texture filter, or a normal "flat" one ? It looks umm, flat to me, but it sure might be good as a texture one, then you could do something like Stevie said and make the edges/sections stand out more. smile:)

Hmm, needs more light maybe, like 1.5 to 2X as much. I can "sense" the depth, ain't seeing but 2.5% of it though. Just saying. smile:D

Yeah, definitely on the right track with that last pic.....wood grain and relief....excellent!!! smile:)

Maybe in other filters along this line, you could also give varying reliefs by colors.....kinda like 3D protruding wood blocks.....might make a neat space-age tile out of wood......

Hmm, kind of mother of pearl meets wood, it's kinda cool, but it doesn't look to realistic along with wood grain really. Be a good trick to save for some shells or something though. smile:D

actually, there are some oil-based laquers and paints that can produce that finish. though, i think i like the fourth one down best.

Pattern size is perfect on second to last one.....grain and relief stands right out.....could play with all kinds of stained wood, laminate, gloss, etc from here.....even would look cool in stone, granite, marble, etc.....

Really like how you are working these out smile:) smile:) smile:)
