Hi Kurts, it seem there is a bit of a range of different textures that wood imprints on concrete - by concentrating on my third pic maybe you could clarify the qualities you want retained and what you feel is missing. By looking at the 3 examples you supplied am I right in thinking less pitting, with more size variety in that pitting is what your after
Hi Lynn, thankyou for your encouragement, it interesting to do something to someone elses vision it a nice challenge |

Yes, I think that is it! And maybe the grouts between the boards could be more like this:? http://z.about.com/d/architecture/1/5...180059.jpg other photos: http://www.smh.com.au/ffximage/2006/0...x467,0.jpg http://imageafter.com/image.php?image=b15walls002.jpg |

The concrete is poured into a wood faced mold which when removed leaves an impression of the texture of the timber in the concrete

Very cool; however, it doesn't quite feel like concrete, too shiny, too white, to something I really don't know. But I like it

Worked up filter - controls do : concrete texture [ from rough to polished ]: Scarring [ heavy to clean ]: Croute width [ from thick to none ] : Tone [ very dark to white ] the space between the croute lines is controlled by the pixel size.

Thanks all for feed back, adding samples pic see what you think P.s Kurts now that I've worked out a concrete surface I'll do a version of pannelling with bolt holes - hope you like it and if you or anyone have further suggestion feel free to comment - posting 5 examples |

			Hi Carl!

Great work - I like the filter. I have not had time to test it in a 3d scene, but playing with the controls in FF shows a lot of possibilities. The only thing I miss is the possibility to add some more wood-like texture, like this PHOTO But this would only be visible in close up renderings, so it's not a bid deal. Thanks a lot for the new filter and your effort! |

yes, on that last one posted, a bit more grain/grit/noise in the smoother areas, especially if you can control it, would be great. gamers love that sort of concrete look.

in fact, i just had an idea. if you could do one with chunks of concrete missing, that would exceptional. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
