steve keeps telling me to mix some filters, so, i mixed a couple smile:) voldemort's 'color days' and my 'church ii'. turning on the refraction produced this:

If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Is this a simple or surface filter - if it is a simple as it look like I wonder what it would look like as surface smile:)

yeah, i think that's the color days influence, steve. color days is a surface type and church ii was a simple. so, when i combined them i made it a surface and that gives it that rolling height sort of look.

the trick on combining these is where do you join the one to the other. volde had 3 image components in his, one way back at the beginning of the routine and two up closer to the results comp. so, i decided to plug church into color days rather than the other way around. i'm still playing with it, but that seems to work pretty well.

hmmm, interesting. well, it's still in its infancy. i dont really know all volde's controls and what they do yet. i imported all those along with the rest of the filter, so, we'll see what comes up.

Spell bound! Fantastic!

The last preset looks a bit similar but different to my Preset 5 in E-Chrome http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...4&TID=3169

I lvoe the depth, pattern and shine you have with your filter! Stunning!

Almost looks like you are taking this to a water filter? Luv it!

thanks, jean smile:)

the 'water' effect was unexpected, and i'm removing it (for this filter). though, i do think you are right in that it could have some uses. we've seen water filters, and there is one 'wet look' filter i know of, but i dont recall any 'seeping water' filters. that might be a good one to put on my list.

Hi Kreallin~ It almost looked like you could take it towards water and stone... but you are right... tons of water filters~ smile:D

"Seeping Water" ... I like it... hope you saved it up to that point so that you can go back to it later. smile:D

So, what direction are you going in with this filter now? Can't wait to see what you'll cook up!

yes, it's saved smile:)

the direction is more like #1 and 2 above. i'm modding volde's filter as a modifier to the church filter. just seeing where it'll go.

Very interesting Kraellin! I love the "gothic jewel" look of the second image you posted...but then am curious on what more can to be done to create effects more like the 3rd image!

I am anxious to see where you take this!

Good luck...

ok, now you guys are confusing me. there seems to be a lot of interest in that last image, and that surprises me. pleasantly, but surprises me. is the interest there more about the subdued pattern there or more with the blue water/plastic effect? frankly, i was just trying to eliminate that whole image/effect as a 'oops! didnt want to go there' kind of thing. but, if there's more interest with that than the first two, i can explore that more.

and lol, volde, i've seen more of the darkside of FF than i care to relate (and dont you dare take that to mean i'm referring to your filters as 'darkside' filters! smile:) ).

Preset 1 is my fav... I like the water/stone effect... explore later... backburner when new ideas go bust... it will be interesting to see where you take it... smile:D

However that first perset is da'bomb... looks like you have jewels and silver trying to be born...

Depends what mood you are in as in which direction you want to go first~ smile:D

Darkside... LOL

Kraellin...

I agree with Persidio...focus on your original thought and work the second theme later. If my opinion means anything...I much prefer the effects more closely resembling your first two examples than the later example. Though it is cool...very cool, I feel the first examples are much more useful.

Cool stuff!
