LOL
I hate when that happens.
Everytime I do that I keep telling myself that having more presets to choose from for 'the final cut' will ensure a better set of '20'. *grin*
Glad I'm not the only one stuck with tons of presets when it comes down to getting the filter ready for the library. That means you are doing alot of testing... a good thing!!! JMO Which is why your filters and the presets are always 'da'bomb'~

Oh I saw you've been updating! Smart move~
When I think all the time it took to make the filter... then obviously liked enough to have downloads... but something was missing. I've chalked it up to a 'learning curve', because now when I go back to update I know more now then I knew then.
I may turn out a new one here or there... main focus is updates.
Sorry I havn't been in the threads over the weekend. Going to be very hot today, almost eager for the cold weather to come. Hope the fish and animals are doing well.
Guess what? I started reading up on 3D Saturday (I like to read first before I jump in).

I an the opposite I jump in first and then start reading the help files 3 to 4 weeks down the road lol. That is what I did with poser, terragen and vue.
It have been really hot here for going on a month, We tied the record at 108 degrees. The fish are doing fine, since the main pond is cover 90 percent with plants it helps keeps the water cool, plus I add a small fountain to help to circulate the water and to add more air. At night I need to add around 500- 700 gallons of water due to evaporation. I need to make some room in the house to start bring in a few water plants, I am hoping to have better luck growing them over the winter.
The frog pond is staying pretty with out having a pump in it. it is cover 100 percent with fairy moss, water lettuce and 1 poor water lily which need to be replanted in the main pond. I need to make an breeding area for the blue gills since they used the pot I had my other water lily in and they uprooted it.
All the tad pole are grown up an left the frog pond, I need to find a used 20 gallon tank, so I can bring in the baby koi, and gold fish , and mosquito fish for the winter.

I luv to read.. and research. It's part of the fun~ Then I jump in and keep researching. My writing hobby usually keeps me busy with research, if I'm writing about a particular topic that I don't have first hand experience with... then I need to research. Then the research just carries over into other areas of my life. Pretty much always been like that. It' fun.

To me is not really work, just thigs thats needs to be done. The reason why I need an 20 gallon tank is I am planning on gett some more fantail gold fish for the large pond and keeping them in the late fall early winter, makes it easier for me to keep them in quarantine for at least a month.
I love loves frogs and toads, that is why I am rebuilding the frog pond this winter.

It's too bad you didn't live closer a couple of years ago. I gave away two tanks. We usually don't re-sell something when we are done with it, we just find a neighbor or friend who wants it. Helps others out. Maybe there is someone in your area who has a tank or two they don't need anymore. Wishing now I'd hung onto the tanks for ya.

I'm always amazed when I hear about what you are doing with habitat.
Question on more fantailed goldfish. This is going to seem like a dumb question to you because I am not researched in this area... but... is there a particular reason or just a personal preference. There is a reason to my thinking here in that certain fish species get along better with specific species???? Glad to hear they are okay with the heat wave.

Fantail goldfish are a very easy going fish and they get along well with other easy going fish. Since my pond is mostly made of comets(common goldfish) butterfly gold fish, fantails and koi. They all get along great, The reason I want to get a few more fantails is they do not get as big as the commets or koi. I want to add more color and gracefull fish to the pond. Spring is the best time to add new fish since it will allow them to gain weight and grow before winter sets in. Also in the winter time hubby hates to go outside so having fish in the house during the winter is a great stress reducer for him.
I have 2 reasons why I am bringing in the fish from the frog pond is due to the size of the fish, since they was only a few months old they are ranging in size from half inch to one and half inch, way to small to add to the main pond and I am going to rebuild thier home. I furgure it will take me 3 months to rebuild the pond and the habitat around it. I would love to build an better habitat for my box turtles. I need to do some more reasch on what would be the best habitat I can build for them and get them outside so they can have more room to play or roam around.
I do have 2 ten gallon tanks and will see if someone in my area is will to trade for an 20 gallon tank.

I have learned so much about fish via forum friendship with you~
You are so well researched in this area my questions must seem silly~
Well I'll bet the frog pond will be amazing next year.
The coming research on Box Turtle Habitat sounds fascinating.

That is an excellent idea~ Or if you are willing to empty it and take it away they just might give it to you.
Appreciate all the information!

Its been something I have been wanting to do for serval years. I think once thier home is finished that other wildlife in my back yard will love it also, like the anoles, skinks and maybe a few garder snakes.
I would like to get this done by spring, since I will have an new pet that will be living in our back yard. I just haven't looked to see where I can get me an baby Pygmy Goat.

As long as they are garder snakes. I've lived all over... and I remember when I lived in Texas I used to garden with boots on because of the coral snakes. They come right in the yard. I had banana trees. Lots of bananas ... anyway ... coral snakes like to make their home at the base of the banana trees.

Awe... so cute!!!! What a great idea! Have no idea where to buy a goat. Farm? Pretty sure the pet stores don't carry those~ hehe
Well, I'm headed out to make filter updates for a few days. I will be checking in the forums to comment on your filters. Also I have a sample I want to make for one of your filters tomorrow... meant to do that today. Pattern Overlay. I made 10 new presets for it last night and it's all ready to create with. You know me, luv a ton of presets. With the 20 presets it came with and the 10 I made last night,,, I'll propably make a few more tomorrow before I make a sample. It's makes the best variations. Could do one for Grid's R Us too,,, or another one of your grids, just let me know.
Hugs and Nite,

I have only seen one snake in my back yard so far this year. We have alot of copperheads in our area and we have been lucky that none have wondered in our back yard.
