ok, i've been tutoring under dilla, reading and studying his noise lab thread in the filter creation forum. this is excellent reading, folks and is highly recommended for anyone.
this filter is a result of that study, so, thanks, dilla!  If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

this one stretches the parameters of a 'rock wall' a bit, but still falls within the realm.

Change the hue to a slight bluish shade and they look alot like iceburg faces...very cool (or cold LOL)

#3 and #5 look very interesting.....it may just be me, but my eye sees the 'perlin' before the stone in 1, 2, and 4
  #2 looks like you could create glacial ice with it......Steve

rawn, yeah, i was tempted to go a number of ways. #4 is only a skip and a jump from being organic. lots of ways to go
and steve, you see perlin when you sleep, so that's no surprise yeah, 3 and 5 are good, but i like 6 too.
hehe, dilla. ok, so a bit exaggerated, but that kind of thread is very helpful. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
