It seems a bit strange that folks have put so much work into making beautiful 3D textures, but nobody posts how they look when rendered in 3D.(*)

I'll post a few here, and invite others to tag along.
The filters are not mine, and I'll give all due credit to the authors.

(* The image rendered in FF, is always front on and doesn't really show off the 3D effect - and the problems!)

Thanks Craig,
Unfortunately, no. I got those from a talented person who was offering them on the 'net. However, I do have the Poser 6 program and I'm trying to learn how to use it. I created this little lady...plus the floor in this render is a FF marble(?)

I WISH it was free! My sister and I bought it together for about $250. The program is as powerful and complicated as Photoshop CS2 (which I am moderately proficient at, after years of practice).
We just need to talk to someone about adding 6 or 7 more hours to the day. smile:D

Sorry, Donna, I don't agree - I think it's much more complicated.smile:D
I've used it on and off for a couple of years and there still a lot of stuff to explore (now experimenting procedural skin shaders )smile:)

Talking of free stuff....

DAZ3D is offering Bryce 5.0 FREE!

http://www.daz3d.com/program/bryce/bryce5free.php?

You'll probably have to register - but that's free too.

WOW! Thanks, Ro.
You seem to be pretty good at Poser. I haven't learned how to put a texture into a picture yet, like the ones you started this thread with.
I can make some really cool 'pretzel people' though. In the beginning, I made some ugly ones too. smile:D smile:D smile:D

I think the only time when poser was free was when version 4 and pro pack came out. There was a UK magazine that had a demo of version 4 and pro pack and version 3 was givin away as a freebie on thier cover cd. kinda like Bryce5.. Although Poser 3 is nothing like 6 is now. I think this was also when Creative Labs just aqiured Poser.

Donna: some very cool picts there.

Ro: I hope she has a solid grasp on that roof, looks like she could slide down.

CFandM, Thanks. I like your 'sippy cup'. Did you make that in Poser?
That really looks like an old fashioned linoleum floor. smile:)

Thanks Donna, Sippy I did not do in poser. Although it would have been interesting to try to do. Since I don't know it all that well.

Here is another pict using Bryce5Free along with Poser5 Free Version. The frog
and its materials was one of the default models that came with Poser.
Thought I would try out my favorite thing to do tables and chairs.

I used this filter for the wallpaper and for the seat cusions.
