It's english slang for a 'Kiss' smile:D

But, it tends to refer to the longer kind of kiss, if you get my meaning...you know - tongues and everything... smile:love:

We say it a lot in the North of England, not sure about rest of UK

smile:)

p.s. reminds me that I haven't had one for a while, well - not since me wife left me a few months ago smile:cry:

p.p.s Carl: bloody great filter mate, can think of a use for this already...

LOL your perfect arc has been essential smile;) smile8) - it has controls for softening which would stop the wax look you see hopefully and the kiss mark is the bit I think will have more usefully , good point though thankyou smile:) it now can smile and pucker, still not perfect so will get as good as possible before release smile:)

LOL for something that looks a simple shape etc it's taken alot of working out and curve experimenting, and having your arc as a base shape helped hugely smile8) smile:)

I love the concept, and I think it has huge potential (could be similar in execution to the Coffee Stain filter).

I'd recommend taking a good hard look at the underlying noise though, which will make or break the filter. You could have your loved one donate some reference on paper. smile;)

Your 100 % right, it even needs the colour varation, I can see it needs a lot more work, started fiddling and have ditched the "lips to lipstick mark" slider it can't be both and concentrating on marks only, for something that seems a simple shape and effect has turned out to be a big challenge [ at least for me smile;) ]

Thankyou, very helpful smile8) smile:)

It's getting there, but the noise doesn't nail it, IMO. Take another look at the small thumbnail I posted above. smile:)

I've now dropped the perlin to make the creases and using Profile grads for better control - I'm definitely try for your thumbnail and I've adopted the philosophy of coffee stain colouring and am attaching new sample still haven't nailed it smile;) smile:)

Gettin much better, Carl..... smile8) smile8) smile8)

Nice samples, Dilla..... smile8)

If possible, I would suggest including a solid variant of it as well.....kinda like the one used by the Rolling Stones.....not as exagerated, but with the form of what you are working with..... smile:devil:

Thanks for sample pic Dilla and the encouragement from the three of you, I'm still trying to get it to look flat and not 3d [ the shine look of the strip in the top and bottom lips aren't helping ], like the samples posted, and by fiddling and changing it it has become a mass and a mess of components and still not right - here is latest sample,

Well I've stripped it back and rebuilt it, still haven't nailed it but are hoping this will eventually work - this filter has turned out to be the hardest to capture the right look even though it seem simple smile;) - here is a sample of the way the new ones going
