I've been beating my head against the wall trying to figure out how to get rid of the worn-off-metal-to-plastic effect around the top edge of the preserver and the glossy plastic effect in the deep shadows. Anyone have any suggestions of what to try to get rid of this unwanted side effect?

It's probably going to depend on what other modules yer using in the filter, (and their order), unless that's just the image into the output, which seems unlikely no ?

Hey jffe smile:) I designed it to be simple and fast with two curve modules....'wave' to make the reflective contour stand out right....and an extremely flat 'noise' curve for the texture. I'm really happy with the basic effect, but I am having trouble correcting the 'plastic' flaw without effecting what I want to keep. I know that there is a way, but I haven't learned it yet smile:cry: smile:)

I'll do that and play with the order again.....

Great news on the free copy, aye? smile:)
