looks best on that last one. i like it in jessica's hair too, but not so much on the face. but, one could always layer that and erase that part. looks good. you going to release it?
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Yeah, the 'bus' one works best....
Humble Cheeky Suggestion  Try a branch with isolating the image outlines.....rough it up just a tad.....then blend it back in after refraction.....should lessen image 'damage' while retaining the effect..... 
.....or just tone down the refraction.....  ....  Steve

Well I have this version which generates it only edge........... thanks all for feed back.......... I will be releasing, but have been working on it for a while and want to get it to the point where it really does look like it is painted and it got closer

You can also rough it up a little more with the same noise on a smaller scale.....might help blend in the outlines with the effect even more.....

we can't have no oil so been working more on creating a truely believabe oil paint effects - the default now looks washed out and wrong it's set for the more common balance of less white dominance unlike the life preserver - the first sample is the true direction the filters is going in, the other examples are control variation - a realistic brush stroke is still not there it's starting to develop up
