Okay rather than making loads and loads of threads I have decided I'll post my idea's for filters/ filter rendered images in the one post. Unless its one I already have submitted to the library, then I'll post them images with that filter.

Right sent this one in but no clue if it will be accepted yet, so call this a preview of a filter, is called Fantasy metal.

Comments, opinions etc are welcome smile:D, even down to omg! that looks like caramel! No.. I wont forget that for a while Craig smile:-p smile;) smile:D

Oh God no! Have I accidentally made a filter like something already here? Poop if I have, well they could always not accept it for the library hehe.

Ditto but by now you should have gathered I like multi tasking filters smile:D, if it can't make me a cuppa tea while its rendering then it so wont work out... smile:loveff:

Okay well I know they can't make me a cuppa tea but heck, you get the idea. That one has a fair few possible out comes and makes some very unusual looking textures too.

Will post some of the fantasy metal v.2 later, but that ones a working progress at the moment.

Cool looking. I like the first one... fo some sort of a ceiling fixture. I wonder if the bulb/inside parts could be different color or different material - like lightbulbs or something else.

I could try, but might take a bit of work with figuring out which part will effect just that central bit or I might have to restructure part of the filter to get that kind of effect. Am still a novice at all this smile:D

with out see the guts of your filter a threshold may be able to isolate then alphia the B/g, drop in colour in the low [ all done in the threshold ]- blur and overlay - probly with a switch to turn light off and on - it may be simpler depending on what components you've already got smile;) smile:)

Ooo! You seen the inside of one of my filters? I probably hit more don'ts than do's with filter building smile;).

I have tried to work my way through the do's and don't list, then my eyes start glazing over and I just want to make a filter rather than read about it.. I have fun so heck, probably not the correct method to filter building but smile:D.

But I will go in and try and figure something out.

Here's a sneak peak at what I am working on at the moment.

Okay Dilla! What drugs are you on.. and Where can I get them! smile;) smile:D .. j/k..
am probably on enough med's as it is smile:eek: smile:-p smile:D.

I have to be honest not watched any Nightmare on Elm street movies.. and tend to stay clear of horror films... My imagination is wild enough without adding extra horror related stimulants. Mind have read a few Clive Barker books, and semi horror-sci-fi/fantasy ones.. semi being they ain't full on gore etc but even so my imagination fills in the blanks. Hehe, says she making blood/gore splattered armour and stuff smile:D

I'm usually on oxygen, gunpowder tea and the occasional cappuccino or glass of wine. No hard to get stuff... smile;)

Couldn't help but see intestine-splattered loudspeakers, hence the (semi-successful) horror movie reference. Keep up the work! smile:)

smile:D Thanks for the comments though Dilla, like I say am still very very new at this, so still learning, all input is welcome.. even down to Caramel... *peers at Craig* smile;) although some comments I just wont drop lol!.

Here's an attempt I have done with the light adding, having issues though with white light, but colour shows up.

Psst them Gory speakers look even better with little red lights lol..

Cool, well if the get added to the library you can all have a fiddle with the first few.. last one above though not too sure about is on the filter am working on. Conniekat8 mentioned about lights and Carl suggested some ideas on how I can go about it. Still a working filter though being that the very last was meant to be white lights, but white, black and gray don't show to well. Choice 2 is I set a slider on a switch with colour choices for the lights... mind depending how I set it up could have a few colour settings..

Anyway this is a peak at the one Dilla likes with red lights smile:), *coughs* does help if I save the image before trying to attach the file.. smile:banana:

I would suggest turning the purple relief areas into surface rust.....but it will take some separation work to get..... smile;) smile:)

Well.. ssshhh the purple relief areas was my attempt at adding rust.. for some reason it keeps changing all of the colour not just the bits I want. I can practice a bit first though with the update one before I send it in, and see what I can come up with.

LoL I figured out the rust last night before I um shut FF down and went for a rest.

Although I might have to do way with one section of the damage addition I was planning on adding cause it ended up taking just under 7 minutes to render with that part linked in the filter. Without it linked, just the basic filter, with lights, damage and rust choice got that down to around 4 minutes. So either will have to disconnect that additional damage totally or try and figure how to get the render time down more with it added. Or just cut that out and put it in something else all together and make a new filter with that.
