Hello! Thanks for all the commentary. Generally these filters I make are REALLY simple filters, I take more time generating a look and feel for each of these experiments.
Here's yet another exploration in color. This one's totally unreleased. ![]() |

Well, I think that these filter can be really simple filters to make for youas I would never know how to make such a beautiful things with FF, becuase this can perhaps have few components but you have to know very well how to combine and use them in the right way. It is like a chemical technician that has a lot of chemical products as "ingredients" but must know well HOW to combine them to make experiments. Perhaps you could teach us how to make this kind of beautiful experiments too, although I agree if you want to keep the secret and I would never force you in way to do it, this is only up to you, and I do not mean that you upload the filter, I mean to explain HOW you are making these experiments that think would be more useful and interesting I am glad that you can make such a beautiful and awesome works this way, and as I admire your works made experimenting this way with FF, you have one of the best portfolio artworks that can be seen made with abstract works with FF. |

I like them, some look like very abstract cityscapes or rooms.

When I have told you to help to teach us how to experiment with FF and be able to make this artistic things, I want to say that I do not want that you unveil or show your own secrets to make this kind or works, so please I respect your privacy and do not do it if want to keep your secret, I understand it and will continue admiring your works when you make them. Thanks.
As said is up to you to decide to show how this could be done in FF or not. And I said that would be better to show how is done than having the filter uploaded because this way you can know why you have connected the components in that way and why it done so and not in another way. When you get a filter, you may understand how it is build or not, but you can still use it, but what would be good is to learn how it is done and not only use it. |

The theme of this entire series has been "color" and how each color is associated with each other. Each part of the series utilizes a simple, basic shape a triangle, circle, and square so far. The series follows a set of rules: 1. The filter inputs images or set of colors chosen by the user. 2. Each color and effect should be saturated exposing the bounds of colors over a display of value. 3. Colors should be applied to simple shapes each shape should cascade. The rest of the grain, vignetting, and other effects are just for fancy. The difficulty comes from choosing a good color scheme that suits the interests of current trends, people, and culture. The filter construction is really just a bomber. (You should refer to gradient shapes for hints on construction they're pretty much the same with minor differences. I think the further difficulty comes from making it look pretty and pleasing. I'm making a mini-textbook on "making stuff look pretty." ![]() |

It's such a personal endeavor. The filter's in the library.
In some sense the filter's just got too much personality. I used a square as my source because a square is the most uniform shape available, and by cascading it you get more squares or rectangles. It's harder to do this with a triangle, it looks visually messy and ugly. It doesn't work with any other shape. And through probably 50 or so iterations I figured squares do the best here. And what I mean by "personal" is an issue I have with things in the world. No matter what you do, you can't remember everything you want to. Everything becomes "chunks" or "fragments" of color and tiny pieces of detail. You result in this sort of abstraction, just a huge goop of deformed masses of detail, which you can only see deeper into by the act of recalling. Everything you do is a memory and even if science says you're capable of seeing into the future, what you do is already in the past. Not that everybody will understand any of that, I don't care if you do or not. I'm just saying I was thinking about that sort of thing when I was making the filter. In the end people are going to just take this filter and just use it as is. Nobody knows what basically went on as I made it, I don't think anybody's concerned with stuff like that. It's really just a filter and nothing more. |

Plan = take these designs and transfer them on wooden cubes so they become little dice. For a prototype I'll be first finding a method to transfer print material on wood manually. Probably using Mod Podge which I need to find equivalents of in Japan.

Cute Patterns
![]() You can make your own glue: 2 parts wallpaper paste and 1 part wood glue. Apply clear coat afterwards. Or if they are very small just clear coat. Some ppl use just wallpaper paste. Wallpaper paste can be easily made yourself. Stir 150g flour in ca 0.5L water and slowly heat it until it has the right consistency. If it gets too thick, add some more water. Some ppl add 2 spoonful of sugar. Let it cool down. Fill it in a jar and keep it in the fridge. It will go bad after some weeks. |

Now THAT'S true crafting
![]() In the mean time, I tried something completely different and printed the designs onto tracing paper. Typically it smudges but after a couple setups I got some neat results. I cropped them so they can be used as ... I donno... something. I was thinking of lamp hoods and stuff. Would be nice. Fortunately... a bunch of LED stuff here. Could make a nice rig. ![]() |

So I ended up obsessing over it and made a good load of this stuff. It's really fine paper, and the print quality is just gorgeous. There are hints of imperfection when printing on surfaces like this. The ink doesn't immediately seep in, so it causes diffusion patterns in some parts, especially where two inks mix.

Some experimentation: Given the paper's qualities, the denser the ink, the more saturated the print, the more the paper curls. So yeah the paper needs some of that white-space in between for it to not curl. I'm looking for alternative ways to print. I've tried setting the density of the ink down so the paper doesn't receive so much ink but it caused desaturated looks.
Oh and guess what... I have sticker paper. ![]() |

go to a digital print shop, they can print on all kinds of papers and transparat materials. should be pretty cheap, maybe $10 for an A2 sheet.
And the print quality is great, and no smearing, since it's not an inkjet. Most of them print high quality on tracing papers, and it looks cool. |

I would go to a nice printing place, but I'd rather use my ridiculous load of art resources first.
![]() I made a simple filter that processes the image to CMY (no K) then printed each color onto separate tracing papers. Not that I wanted a clear effect, I just wanted something fuzzy and paper-like. Images were combined by layering them on top of each other and light was passed through. Very simple experiment, but I just wanted to see it happen. Result = cat. ![]() |
