Rachel Duim So Called Tortured Artist Posts: 2498 Filters: 188	Day 38. Here's a shot at something somewhat like ferro-fluids. Thanks to Skybase for the original diffusion code. I found ways to speed it up, it was terrifyingly slow... it took 42 seconds to generate a 600x600 image in the modified filter. Slow to preview at first, then finishes fast in the final passes. I like the look, but it will be slow for some. Since I modified it from the original reaction diffusion snippet by adding blended derivatives, I'm calling the new method derivative diffusion. If the red lines could appear like pine leaves dropped all over the picture, it could be an interesting variation.

So, I am working on Picasso Redux, basically taking the core of the Picaso filter and tweaking, adding color features, and enhancements to existing functionality.
