First glance I thought the pics Steve was showing were some of my own when I was this age, but I'm just below these, the filter made me look, well, odd to say the least smile:-p
I'm not really troubled with wrinkles... yet, but you can't help looking back and wishing we never grew old smile;)

Hehe, you can see through all those wrinkles!?!
Funny how no one noticed my picture at all... even made a comment to Ron when he said he wanted her (my younger self) on his team. My answer should have told him and others it was a pic of me smile:-p

hehe, still hard to see what you look like in that pic.

i'd post one of myself, but all i've got is my old high school graduation pic. let's see, that would be almost 40 years ago.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't see this~ smile:D

My pics are all over the forum... thought you'd seen. Oh to find the pics... let me think. I'll get another window up and get the URL's to post in this thread.

I tend to hide on my photos btw... I hide my hair and my ummmm chest size. LOL

It took me awhile before I did put pics up... I had to get to know everyone and also bring my husband to the forum before I put up more then this one... this one I put up fairly soon. http://persidio.net/FF/filters.htm It's a page thanking everyone who uses my filters (hand coded with CSS because I like CSS and HTML).

I'm 42 in that photo... my hair is wrapped up on itself in a pony tail so that it looks short. Hard to explain,,, you put it in a pony tail then you take the ends and in the last wrung on the rubber band ... then wrap the hair around to hide the band. Not only am I hiding myself, but I put two filters on it to hide me more.

Then I took a month and half break to due personal/emotional issues that I had to sort out (I did and everything is fine). When I came back I decided to personalize myself and let others get to know me a bit better then I had before. So I posted a pic that shows me a bit more....

here... http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...ssage22873

(((I hide my chest in this one... the photo is me at 42 (2 years ago)... hair is dyed lighter,,, it's more of a brown/red... although was blonde when I was young,, changed brown/red/blonde as an adult... my hair in this pic is 'lighten' a few shades.

Oh and no filters on that first photo.

Then if you scroll down that thread there is another photo with the horses.. I'm still fairly hidden ... so to speak.

And one here I used as a sample for Ron's filter... http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...ssage24717

That last one was taken July 12th. ((again hiding myself)) But my hair is not colored. LOL And finally one that shows some length. ((I only let my photo be taken for my Mother or my husband ... other then that I don't like my pic taken. I'm the one who takes all the pics normally.

Last one... http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...ssage16498
This is the one that is filtered ALOT! Taken when I was 42. There are so many filters on this one my eyes look brown (I have celery green eyes). Hair up in a pony tail and pulled back away from my face. The last two filters for gloss are my Acid Wash Photo Edge and Condensation filter. And the Temptress stands for Temptress of Fate, not the other kind of Temptress.

I'm not going to be putting any more photos of myself up in here becauase I already have a ton, LOL.

Now at my Imeem site www.temptressoffate.com I have two more photos not shown here but the album is private and for friends on my Imeem page only.

I used to work out and eat healthy for most of my life. And that's me~ smile:D That's me hiding from the camera anyway... smile:D

At first I thought you looked a lot like the way Linsey Wagner looked like in Bionic Woman, hope that's not an insult. I've always liked her, she's a health nut too... hehe, well maybe not a nut smile:-p

I am very camera shy, why I don't have any pictures of myself today, or even 10 years ago. My oldest version is a driver's licence picture when I was 40. Will show you that one here, but to be honest, this all makes me feel quite shy.

I felt the same way~ (((We are brave!)))

The way I see it is this... for filter users they feel they know the filter artist and others will be more comfortable posting with me if they have an idea of who they are posting with.

I did a double check to make sure we are chatting in my thread. We have a chat going in Artsy's folder and was thinking we might want to pull that one over to GD.

My avatar is painted with the computer mouse... started with a white canvas. However you know... that photo would be perfect for a computer mouse painting if you ever felt like doing that. The outlines are there and would be easier with a photo base then a white canvas.

Well thanks for showing the photo Foxxee... I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable. (((Very Pretty))) smile:D smile:D smile:D

Sure, just don't put it on fire or shoot it full of bullets or put me through a shreader, hehe smile:-p

Go back to that thread... because he's been thinking about 3D. Which would be perfect for him... because he has nice filters ... eventually three will go HU... then he'll have used this time to learn 3D and he can use the textures here. Ron is a very smart man. smile:D smile:D smile:D

((((my heart is breaking that he doesn't have his three HU's yet,,, but I know his filters are great and I know he will get them in time)))). Honestly, I have no idea how you removed that yellow tint, I've tried before, by that is the color of (or was) of my hair. My eyes are so dark blue they almost look black from a distance. Oh my, you did a nice job smile:)

Okay,, but when you figure out how to do that let me know.. smile:D

Sorry Foxxee if you just wanted a touch up I would have done that... Craig did a great job... filters are fun~ Remember the camera delivers glare ect... filters can fix that.

Now what I'm doing to the photo is not a filter or touch up job. It's a painting.. by the mouse but still a painting and I work in 600 to 1200 zoom when I paint... (not a doll,, a painting) using brushes and colors. My mouse paintings take anywhere from two weeks to a month...(I paint off and on as I have time). I started the mouse painting today of the photo. I don't see the whole photo when I paint.. I see zoomed up pixels. It's relaxing and I hadn't had time to mouse paint in awhile.

When the painting is all done, then I can filter and gloss. And will pass her back to you for that,, but I'd have to pass her thru email as I don't allow others to play with my mouse paintings. ((Just too much work into them is all)). Or I could put it on my paid for web space by itself then privately send an email message with the link, then delete it off the space once you have it. That way you don't have to reply to email and I don't have to post the unfiltered version in the forum.

The mouse painting will be just the face like the photo above. I still have your permission to paint it right? smile:D Great colors to work with. No promises on whether I ever finish it or not though.. pretty busy on this end. But if I do finish it I'll let you know right away. How's that?

Yep, they had 2 bright very hot lamps pointing down on me and the woman behind the camera kept saying "Smile sweetie, it's ok to smile" and kept thinking "I AM smiling, click the camera already before I get sweat beads on my face!" smile;)

Nothing sneaky... I don't have to email it... I can put it on my web space when it's ready.

by the way all my photos and work are always copyright.. no one is allowed to lift... I just don't trust they wouldn't lift my mouse painting and if you knew how much work.. hours and hours zoomed in up to 1200% up to two weeks... working on and off... then to have someone lift and steal would tick me off is all.. LOL.

However what I did do is filter one of them up.. Resized smaller. Yours will be the size of the photo.. this one was started with a blank canvas and is much larger then the image below. I resized her so that her file size would fit.

Here is one of my mouse paintings with a gloss of Kreallins Filters... called Waxy. I'm going to filter her for friends filters... so if you see a post of mine in the user gallery tonight that's my mouse painting filtered with the filter from that artist. (((Other then those posts I'll be in Paint and FF for most the night)))).

Mouse painting attached (painted with the computer mouse). Now bear in mind yours won't look anything like this one.. yours will look like your photo and be the size of your photo. This mouse painting was started on a blank white canvas... so will be much easier with a photo as a guide... LOL.

Hi Craig,, yes I can see that~ You did a great job! Lots of work into fixing up photos. Was just letting foxxee know that I was doing a painting... computer mouse hand painting is different then filtering and adjustments. Not saying that adjustments are not time consuming... just saying the two are different... not only in technique but the look of the overall image.

((((You are very good ... loved what you did with her photo))))

I'm using the untouched... works better as a base for what I'm doing with the image. smile:D

Hi Foxxee~

(((OH Thank You!!! It's beautiful!!!))) Have it saved to a folder~ smile:D smile:D smile:D

No need to apologize~ I know there must have been some anxiety in posting the photo. People do what they want to do so a part of you wanted to overcome the fear and post the photo~ ((((I wish I was so brave at overcoming my fears)))) You've inspired me~ Honestly didn't have my feelings hurt... but I LUV the swan~ smile;)

I'm glad you found it, wasn't sure if you would come back and look smile:)
Well, sometimes when you try to say things and it might be a tease it's hard to translate a little smile or a twinkle in the eye, or hear me giggle when I say it, so taking something the wrong way can and has happened, for us all I'm sure. But I am relieved to hear I didn't do anything unintentionally to hurt or offend you. I can't stand to hurt people nor watch them being hurt, it really gets to me.

Yes, it was and still is difficult for me to even come to this page and see that I actually DID submit it... it's not easy to get over shyness. Then again, I've been thinking, it may not be shyness at all but a subconscious fear instead smile:| smile:?:

Well it's a fear you overcame! smile:D smile:D smile:D And see... nothing bad happened. It was a well founded fear because of what happened to. That's over and done with and time to move on. Can't live in fear. I don't like gaming sites/forums btw... very different from the forum you are in now. So do you play computer games or xbox 360 games? Playstation? I like xbox 360. In fact we started having load problems with our xbox yesterday... white screen. Revelation took it in, so it's gone now... smile:cry: smile:cry: smile:cry: I really need to take a break and sit down and play my volleyball game when we get it back. Been so busy making filters and graphics the past few days that I'm behind on everything... even behind on posting.

Oh I found the tag real fast, LOL. Luvs it!!! Especially the larger size, I had to resize for posting here.
