Thanx smile:) The only problem with this filter is that I wish it could be put on high randomization to go between lighting environments without the fear of bad areas popping up......which is why I posted my "Steve's Most Wanted" string in the Feature Wishlist catagory.....

i'm no longer worrying too much about bad areas... let the buyer beware! i mean, if they dont like it, they can always get their money back for what they paid for that filter smile;)

True.....it's an anal thing with me.....I want to cut out all possible bad areas smile;) smile:)

I don't know why FF doesn't restructure lighting to give more user control.....seems pretty obvious that it needs to be done......and wouldn'ty take that much to do......

god, i hate that word... anal. a really derogative term for being organized. typical psycho-babble crap!

but yes, i do understand perfectionism smile:)

give em time. they'll get to it smile;)

I've misled myself to believe that "the squeeky wheel might get the grease" here.....but I haven't given up.....yet smile;) smile:)

I'm quite sure FF is sick of reading my suggestions.....so maybe they will do some of them just to shut me up smile;) smile:D LOL.....

I get the impression FF feels that if you have problems with the lighting etc it because the filter is sub-optimal rather than the program as some filter can work smoothly with randomizing lighting etc - please don't think I'm suggesting your filters are suboptimal because they definitely aren't - but I think this is why you receive no result from your comments smile;)

and I'm also not necessarily agreeing with them because I know the struggle your talking about smile:)

Hey carl smile:) FF knows no matter how good a filter is, it's impossibe to avoid bad areas in high randomization (switching between lighting).....because there is no way to keep brightness or height under control. I got some positive feedback from FF......so at least I know that I'm not crazy smile;) smile:D LOL....

patience, grasshhopper. the time will come smile;) they havent even finished the mac version yet and it will be at least a year after that before we see a beta on version II for the pc and wouldnt suprise me if that is a bit optimistic. i dont really expect anything very much new for two years, perhaps. and, if you argue that they could put in something, then that's time away from putting in everything. coding several hundred thousand lines of code is not an easy task and debugging that amount of code is nightmareish. so, just to see the next beta for the pc is going to take a while.

You are right, the program really is still in its' infancy.....and changes that look simple to us may not be that simple to do.....

I'm looking forward to the next beta.....FF has already dropped a couple of hints to what might be in it smile;) smile:)

Yeah, Bella mentioned the "particle" components again......so it sounds like it's going to happen in version 2. I think Dilla successfully plugged for that.....never works when I try it smile:cry: smile;) smile:D

LOL.... smile:D Well, I'm making some overt efforts to at least get full control over lighting.....OnyxMaster at least agrees about some of that.....but Vlad is definitely the one who needs to be won over on the idea for it to happen. Who knows, maybe Vlad will say "Ya know, maybe that StevieJ person was right about restructuring the lighting for full parameter control.....hmmmmmm.....let's do it!!!" .....yeah, then I wake up smile;) smile:D LOL.....

The two might be onto something there, Stevie! smile:D

Besides, bombers are far from being my idea. In fact the idea was already around before I entered the public beta... smile;)

From what I've read, it definitely looks like we're going to get them in version 2.....with all kinds of other excellent goodies smile:beer:

I'm wondering if they will run a beta trial before V2 release.....

almost certainly. vlad has expressed how successful it was on version 1. not likely to drop something that's successful.

True.....the first one did seem very successful.....doesn't seem like it would change much from how it is now with the trial periods other than to give away truckloads of free copies for sending in bug reports......but maybe the generated "buzz" and influx of new filters makes it worth it.....

how would it work would they keep selling only 1 until the beta was over for 2 and we'd still have 1 on the machine till the beta was over - as when an update comes through you can't down loaded anything from the library till you update smile:?:

Sorry Carl, I lost track of this one..... smile;) smile:)

You will be able to keep version 1.....but you aren't going to be able to download filters made with version 2......which will be good incentive to have the latest version smile:devil:
