Hi All,
I'm home from New Hampshire. You've certainly been busy!
Nice to meet you too, Vladimir!
photoman...great abstract variety, I especially like the tin can version, very realistic.
Kraellin...nifty effect with 'saturated curves', I never looked so good!
Really liked 'multiswitch' too, hope you submit it soon.
All these pictures are wonderful inspirations to do things with photos that we might not have thought of on our own.
Keep it going!

Hi photoman,
I love the pencil sketch effect. A traditional artist would be hard pressed to tell the difference between this filter and a real pencil drawing. Two thumbs up!

donna, i think saturated curves was rejected under the old system. it's one on my list to re-do. multiswitch is finally in a near finished state but still playing around with tweaks. it's an interesting filter but still very disordered andi may not release it until we get more controls to play with. that might help it to a bit less confusing. i could explain further but it wouldnt do the confusion justice
i have also figured out how to get around the 10 control limit. i now have an unlimited number of controls in my filters if i want

Hi Craig,
I can't get over all the different variations you can get with the filters. I think I'm getting addicted to this!

Nice thread, Craig
Here's your rose, as seen through my "Spherify" (cartesian -> polar) filter.

donna, excellent on the 'bloody rose'!
ro, i know you know the thread that your polar coordinates reminds me of very nice. and when you first posted your 'adaptive tiling' filter, i think i commented on how brilliant, but i also wondered about its practical applications. i think you've just shown the way
momonline, fun filter, isnt it i played with that one a bit myself. it needs more, even with lucato's additions, but fun. it's also educational. there are some nice tricks in there.
and i love the gold and silver pattern. some of that gold even looks gem-like. very cool.

You don't have to start with a real image...I began this picture with the Landscape filter, ran it through B & W, added the silhouette then finished with Soft Focus.
Quick and easy!

kraellin,
all the texturing and rendering is in Lightwave. However, the textures themselves are all FF. I just bought fPrime today, so I'll be doing some more rendering now that it's darn near instantanious.
I generated a bump, specular and colormap from FF and imported them into LW. No procedurals from Lightwave at all.
If there is interest I will post work using FF generated textures. I like the idea of seeing what this software is capable of!
