I've been working on this one for about 8 month or something, I've managed to get the dabs of colour as the Impressionist used it but the brush strokes elude me, the first example show a stroke starting to work in the mid tones but is totally lost where there is flat colour - as Craig says

i had to put van gogh off to the side for the same reason. i keep trying to use perlin and noise distortion, but i'm thinking it might have to be something else now.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

it really doesn't work well on pics, makes them to blurry and undefined - at least for what I'm after, if thats the effect you want it's a great filter

I know.....but I think it can be 'toned down'/modified to get what you want. Scary also has an impressionist filter with a concept that can be modified towards it as well.....  Steve
