It took some time and effort ( hair loss ) and luck I suppose to get the erosion happening
Been trying two different scales of erosion combined: Coarse × Fine -> (Low + High) x Mid -> Coarse x Fine ->... Dark areas are the Fine Mid range:  _____________________________________________________

A bit more clarity on the erosion matter, in a video, as I was rather vague above. ( Note that, inverted or not, because the Mid range values are treated as one extreme ( V tone curve ), my mistake of not inverting the result on one of the passes, is not a mistake!
