I've been following RGBLand and your work on randomization and chaos on the web. Very nice concept, it has "legs" and definitely keeps my interest. I've been going towards less controls myself, 1 control is perfect for your concept. 0 controls?! smile;)

PS Ooops... bumped the thread to the next page...

I modified it a bit more so the rotation of each tile now transitions smoothly.

Always cool stuff Skybase smile:) ...One other note for animating without controls...One might be able to modify the FF clock script sample to animate... smile:)

A bit more tinkering with my color gradient generator. I saw an artist make little color rings so I thought I'd try to generate a similar output.

Simple stuff is the best. My color-generating structure works really well here in generating nice colored output quickly.

WOW!! This is very good, cool, beautiful, original and well done, great idea, very artistic and creative

Are the shapes fix and still, I mean already configured in FF or are generated randomly?
And they have random size generated?

With this you gave me more inspiration and ideas, thanks

It's all done in FilterForge of course. The point of that was to showcase my random color palette generator I've been making more than anything. Each output represents a new color palette.

Yes, I agree, color is the main theme of both pictures.
Even the shapes were a bit different ( for example, squares or hexagons instead of lines ), it would be still well balanced.
Nice work. smile:)
Will you post a filter to make these pictures?

Yes, of course at everything is done in FF, I already know that you have created this filter with your new cool and well done random color palette generator, what I was asking is if you have made also a random shape generator for the lines and squares to have random size and have hole or not, or they are already made inside the fixed and have different fix shapes to be mixed in bomber

Yeah the shapes that's being fed into the bomber are fixed, what changes is the colors. This was done with the bomber plus but it can easily be accomplished with the regular bomber as well!

I gave an old project a refresh with some newer things I've made. Originally I made this filter for fun and the required input used to be images. Now it's self-generating so the generator doesn't require any input. I attached my color-scheme generator to accomplish this. So far the results are pretty spectacular!

Lots of experiments and tests done by Skybase during many years and great knowledge of FF and how it works and how to combine creatively and wisely the components

It surely would not be easy to explain how all this "magic" made by Skybase works

Yeh, I think it's honestly a bit hard for me to share this since if I do, then you guys be able to produce exactly what I'd be making. In some ways, it's like a real magic trick. Once you learn the trick and how it works, the magic kinda fades since in most cases, magic is simple. Likewise these filters I'm making are honestly REALLY REALLY simple, it's just I'm employing some very base-level design ideas that work.

For the most part when you can get good designs, no matter how simple a system, it can look great. I've been exploring color and their relation to shape, and I've been kinda trying to perfect a system that tries to choose "nice color schemes" which I recently discovered a way while exploring a possible successor to RGBLand.

A designer friendly color scheme can really change the looks of stuff. It can make stuff look really good even if the thing is simple. Good design doesn't always have to be complex. Good design is honest, clear, concise, and lasts.

So if you're wondering, I say head on over in FilterForge and wonder even more smile;)

I think that you are absolutely free to share what you want or not, you decide (and anyone in this forum) what you want to share and of course I understand that you can´t share your own personal identity creations as they are yours, and you would loose your identity if you do

For example
Does xirja share all his secrets on how he is able to do so many creative and beautiful things? no, he just show them to be admired, so I apply the same to you and any other FF user in the forum

I think xirja is like the good magicians, he shows very good and beautiful effects and artworks but as the magicians, never tell how it was done, so it is kept the mistery how is possible that it was achieved such amazing creation.

Like an expert magician, he is able to show creative and original things not seen before with FF, and you will not know how it can be done, just admire the amazing and beautiful creations he can make, sometimes better than others

I can change the above quote and put Skybase instead of the xirja name

You have already shared LOTS of awesome and amazing filters and I thanks you very much for it

So I recently designed a little pattern generator that randomly created these little LED dot matrices. Then I decided I wanted to animate them. As a premise this is what a single matrix would look like when animated.

I then took it a bit further. Betis said you could loop it by using seamless tiling and behold, it works. Now with colors changing as well. This was all made using FilterForge 6. No additional software other than a batch renderer. There are no keyframes other than a master slider that controls the time variable. smile:) Funny thing FilterForge has 0 animation functionality. heh.

Extending on the idea of LEDs since these were just made with a bomber, there are some perks like being able to scale the dots up and down.

Usually anything in FilterForge can be animated if you wanna challenge it. The program itself doesn't have any animation features which is kinda sad.
