tweaked a bit more and trying to speed up, the colouring still needs work. Here are a couple more examples, the first has a trunk look smile:)

These all look like carved up wood to me. Try a greyer/greener and less streaky look for more of a rock feel I think. Like if you have stretched noises, lower the stretch amount and post some of those.

ok this is just with a slider to control the stretch [ will fiddle with the colouring/streaking etc ] good idea to control the strectch you get so many possible looks smile8)

I love the realistic lighting of the penultimate one. The AO is real grainy looking, I'd say a higher quality setting would improve the full-size looks. (The thumbnail looks great though)

The fourth one is also quite nice, not sure what it could be used for but this filter is something I'm sure people (including myself) would be definitely interested in.

Thanks KG and Betis, it's been submitted - the render times vary drasticly on different presets so hopefully it will get through the FF time police smile:)

of course i'm serious. or just post them in the forums. probably easier that way since my current email is not on this computer.

and that goes for anyone; if you want some help on a filter or just want to make it public but dont think it's worthy of the library, post it on the forums!

Kinda like that direction.....take out the tubing/ring portion.....then focus on the stairways/notches/angles.....and maybe call it something like....

1) Metallic stairways to Heaven smile:D
2) Metal Meandering Staircases
3) Escher Metallix
4) Escher Metal Hell

Hey, I'm trying.....my first thought was actually "Metal Stairway Clusterf**k".... smile:dgrin:

i see where you're going, but add a blend that connects the wall to the grunge so you can adjust how much brick shows through, cause right now it's a bit heavy on the grunge.
